Cavan / STEWART family of Carolina, Cootehill
« on: Wednesday 05 February 20 14:34 GMT (UK)  »
I have traced this family back to Archibald Stewart (1801-1879) but can make no further progress. Archibald probably came from Doohat in neighbouring County Monaghan. If anyone has any ideas I should be extremely grateful.

I am seeking information about this family settled at Cornamuckla. I have discovered that George Rogers (1767-1857) and his wife Martha (1770-1850) were living there in the early nineteenth century. Can any earlier information be discovered? Does anyone know?

I am seeking information about this family farming at Augharanagh in the nineteenth century. James and Isabella Fry's daughter Esther married Edward Howard of the same parish in 1840. Does anyone have any clues about their earlier history.

Westmeath / Dempsey/ Hartpole Dempsey family, Ballynacargy
« on: Wednesday 05 February 20 13:57 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for any information about Hannah Dempsey of Ballynacargy who married Stephen Rogers of Cornamuckla in the Parish of Forgney in 1837. Her first born was christened 'Harpole' which I   understand is a chosen Dempsey christian name. It may be that she was a daughter of a Har(t)pole Dempsey. I should love to know. Any and all suggestions very gratefully received.
