Galway / Mary Reilly - Dunmore, Galway
« on: Thursday 21 July 22 15:27 BST (UK)  »
Hi, all.  I am researching my family, and there are loads of them and as usual more or less named the same as well  😕

I have Mary Reilly (Reilly spelt in so many ways as well making it awkward).  She was born 6 June 1858, Dunmore, Galway, daughter of Peter and Julia Connell.  Below is the record for her, I am no longer on Roots Ireland, something I had to give up given current circumstances financially.
She appears then on the 1911 Census in Ireland, along with her brother Patrick.  Still in Dunmore.  I am struggling to find her Death record, I have gone through Tuam and Galway records(16 records each) and most of the Mary Reilly are widows (assuming she never married, still single in 1911), I have been looking for Spinster.  I did find one, but would like an opinion on it.  It does state Housewife, even though I think she never married.

I am therefore assuming she is referred to Housewife, being living with her brother and his wife and family?

In brief, not sure if this her death I suspect so, I am not convinced she did marry, would appreciate feedback - thank you

Hi

I have found the Registration for my Gt Gt Grandmother, on the GRO site, registration District Barkston Ash.  She lived in Allerton Bywater and I am assuming, she is buried in St Marys in Allerton Bywater.  From only having the register Index how can I find out where she is actually buried.  Many thanks

Her death is registered as CONNELL, MARY  JULIA  68  GRO Reference: 1955  J Quarter in BARKSTON ASH  Volume 02D  Page 480.  I have looked on Forebearers and it keeps taking me to Ancestry and there is nothing there apart from the registration

Family History Beginners Board / Tracing a Relative proving elusive
« on: Tuesday 25 February 20 12:44 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

I am trying to trace a relative Born in 1841 called Joseph Gray, he lived it seems with his Grandparents, Head of the House being Henry Westerman.  Joseph appears on 1851 Census as a 10 year old boy and born in Woodhouse Carr, Leeds (its spelt Cary which I have never heard of).  I do have his marriage Certificate and he married Hannah Braham in 18th July 1867.  Joseph then appears as a visitor in 1861 with the grandparents  After that he is with his wife Hannah.  I cannot for the life of me find who is mother and father are.  As for Woodhouse Carr, the only Woodhouse is in Leeds but not called Woodhouse Carr.  Having siad that still cannot find his mother and father.  ANy ideas at all?
