Yorkshire (West Riding) / Joseph Heald B 1761 - Wakefield
« on: Wednesday 19 October 22 14:14 BST (UK)  »
Hi

I am looking for the death of Joseph Heald, son of Samuel Heald and Mary Woodhead (in wakefield).  I have found his Baptism Record dated 26th December 1761, he went on to marry Sarah Moxon on 18th March 1782.  Sarah died in 1838 as a Widow in Wakefield.  This is where it all ends.  I thought I had found him charged with Murder and sentenced to death.  upon reading the documents, it was clear this Joseph Heald was a boy, therefore I dismissed this as my Joseph.  I have looked under Yorkshire Burials, I have looked under the collection of West Yorkshire BMD, nothing

I wonder if anyone else could shed some light here?

I have a great Grand Aunt by the name of Sarah E Gray born 1868 to Joseph Mitchel Gray and Hannah Braham.  Sarah appears on the 1871, 1881 and 1891 Census and then marries William Braithwaite 1892, in Garforth (Garforth is where I live).  On the Census 1891 she appears as Elizabeth S Gray.

They had a daughter Florence Mary, and I managed to trawl through Garforth St Mary's Baptism records and found Florence entry.

I have looked from 1866 to 1869 for Sarah Elizabeth Baptism, nothing.  I have looked on the GRO website, for Sarah, nothing with the mothers maiden name of Braham.  All her siblings are on GRO and have the mothers maiden name as Braham.

I have looked on the parish register for St Mary in Garforth for Sara, or Elizabeth or Sarah Elizabeth or Elizabeth Sarah, also under the parents names nothing.  So am stumped as to her birth?  Any suggestions would be appreciated - thank you

Yorkshire (West Riding) / William Mauleverer and Jane Conyers
« on: Friday 04 February 22 17:42 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

Like many, I am researching my family tree, and got to the difficult part of Nobility, some of it is ok and well documented and some not so.  Depending on where I look gives me a different result of wife to Illiam Maulevere, 1471 Worthersome, Bardsey, West Yorkshire, England and died 11 August 1551 , 1471 Worthersome, Bardsey, West Yorkshire, England.

I get two options Jane Conyers and Anne Conyers.  Both born 1470.  Having also checked The Peerage, it states Anne, when I check Stirnet.com its a jane.  Digging deeper it seems this is a grey area.   Has anyone looked in to this and got to the bottom of it at all?

I cant find out if he was ever married and also his death.  I seem to have been looking forever for this guy and not got far at all.  He had a brother called James Connell who is my 2nd Great Grandfather.  Born 1834 in Addergoole.

Can anyone at all shed some light on my elusive Martin?

Hi

I have a David Greenwood born 1843, Warley Halifax.  He married a Sarah Cook born 1846, Howden, Yorkshire, marriage was 23 April 1866 (I found the marriage Banns which stated the date) - Halifax, St John the Baptist, Yorkshire

Problem for David is, I am unable to trace his death date and where.

Sarah and David had 3 children, James William, born 1868, Mary Hannah born 1869 and John Thomas born 1873, all born in Leeds.

Problem with James William is, I am unable to find his actual date of birth, or even his baptism.  He died on 28th January 1935, I have found his place of Burial which is Harehills Cemetery, Leeds.

Mary Hannah Greenwood, married Simeon Cook.  I have found Simeon place of burial, St Peter, Bramley in Leeds.  He died 4 Jan 1915, 5 Hudson Square, Bramley, Leeds, Yorkshire West Riding. I am unable to find her actual date of birth, or even her baptism.

John Thomas Greenwood I have Birth, and Death, no marriage, I don't think he married

Sarah their mother went on to marry my Gt x2 Grandfather Henry Hughes (October 1876), and she is buried with Henry in Harehills Cemetery.  Their Son Henry my Gt Grand Father is the only child of Sarah I have found the baptism and date of birth.

Her other children by David Greenwood I cannot find at all.  Henry Jr, is buried with his wife Emily Wilkinson and they are buried with Sarah and Henry Snr.

Hope someone can help with the Birth Dates of the children and the death date for David Greenwood - Thank you

Mayo / Lynskey Family Search

Hi, hope someone can help.  I am looking for the Death place and Date for Anthony Lynskey

He is on the 1901 and 1911 Census aged 70 along with his wife Catherine aged 73 (nee Doyle).  The family were in Crossmolina, County Mayo and a Daughter called Bridget Mary Lynskey, who went on to Marry Thomas Patrick Moylett and they went to live in the US.

Anthony and Catherine Married on 29th January 1873, in Dublin, which is where I assumed Catherine was from.

They then pop up on the 1901 and 1911 Census.  Bridget their Daughter was born in Crossmolina in 1876.

I have Catherine Death cert in Ballina, Mayo.  25th November 1920, widow.  I have checked the surname Lynskey between 1911 and 1920 for death records both Catholic and Civil.  He does not show up.

I can't find where Catherine is buried at all.  I checked online grave headstones etc nothing for either. Assume here it's unmarked but still she has to be recorded where buried?

Anthony and Catherine marriage record I have.  His name along with Catherine is in Latin.  I looked for his name in Latin, nothing.

Anyone help here please?

I simply cannot find a death record for Anthony.

Galway / Peter Connell Cloonkeen D 1883
« on: Wednesday 19 May 21 18:14 BST (UK)  »
Hello

Peter Connell Died 6th July 1883, he lived in Cloonkeen, Galway.  He died at the age of 70 so, I assume he was born around 1813.  I have the death register document but no birth documents.

I am also unable to find records at all for a wife and/or his marriage.  He has 3 children Mary Connell born 1830, Julia B 1836, James 1841.  Peter Connell is my 4th Gt Grandfather.  The mother is proving elusive, due to the year of birth of the children.  Rendering it very difficult to find any paperwork at all.  I do not have access to Roots Ireland, only Irishgeneology and scoured that to no avail.

Can anyone help at all with finding his wife?  or possibly details of Peter Connell birth.  I have emailed the Cloonkeen Heritage society, still waiting a response - thank you in advance
