Flintshire / Tracing Sister who died at Connah's Quay
« on: Tuesday 23 June 20 17:23 BST (UK)  »
Hi

Looking for help please.

My mother and three children were evacuated to Connah's Quay 1944-1945.  Sadly my sister, Marion Rose Cowling (aged 8 months) died whilst there.

I am trying to find where she is buried as I would love to visit her grave but cannot trace her name in any records for the area.  I have been in touch with North East Wales Archives and, although they have been very helpful, they cannot assist, especially as I believe that my sister would have been buried in an unmarked grave.  Marion died on the 21st January 1945 in the Registration District of Holywell, in the sub district of Flint, and the family where staying at Farfield Hall, Connah's Quay.

So, two things really, can anyone help with my quest to find my sister and has any one any thoughts on how I might obtain Evacuee records for Connah's Quay.

With many thanks in anticipation.
