Hello,

I was wondering is anyone could help me find this family on the 1861 census. I've tried searching and keep coming up with nothing and thought I would ask here before moving on and concluding they are just not on it for this one.

George Browning, born 1827 in Painswick, Gloucestershire married Sophia Purton, born 1832 Gloucester, Gloucestershire on the 30th September 1855 in Gloucester. George is noted as living in Paddington, Middlesex at the time and Sophia is Victoria Street in Gloucester. George's occupation is also noted as a Railway Porter.

I have found them both in the 1851 census before marriage. Both of them living in Gloucestershire with their parents and siblings.

They ended up having ten children:

William Browning: 1856 in Kensington
Sarah Elizabeth Browning: 1857 in Paddington, Middlesex
Sophia Browning: 1859-1860 in Kensington
Emily Browning: 1861 in Paddington, Middlesex
Caroline Browning: 1862 in Paddington, Middlesex
George Browning: 1865 in Paddington, Middlesex
Benjamin Browning: 1867-1870 in Gloucestershire
Alfred Browning: 1869 in Gloucestershire
John Browning: 1870 in Gloucestershire
Benjamin Browning: 1872-1876 in Gloucestershire

I have George, Sophia and their children on the 1871 census living in Gloucestershire and George's occupation: Porter (unemployed) - Piece: 2620, Folio: 66 Page number: 26
The oldest son William is living with an aunt and uncle in 1871 for an apprenticeship but is not living with them in 1861.

I've got George and Sophia on all the other possible censuses for them. George dies in 1879 and Sophia in 1919. It's just the 1861 that appears to be missing for them. Sophia Browning's baptism in 1860 puts them specifically on Albert Street in Middlesex. Emily and the rest were baptised later in Gloucestershire.

I need some help deciphering the mother of the groom. Been doing pretty well with the french stuff recently but the handwriting on this one is not meshing with me.

Starts with the groom Guillaume Sallaud. Then lists his father who has the same name. Normally it would then say the father's occupation and then where he is from and then the mother. I think the surname is where it says Coife but I can't make out the first name. So I'm not actually sure if she is listed earlier instead? Then I think it lists where the mum is from.

Then goes into the bride Marie Bellier who is the widow of Antoine Dumas, I think then it's his occupation when alive 'master something?' Does not list her parents. Probably would have for her first marriage but records don't go back far enough unfortunately.

That's it really. Would mainly like to confirm the mothers name.

Just trying to figure out what the word after Chevillard is/translates to.

The entries before and after have the first and second names but unfortunately the one I'm interested in doesn't seem to list a first name.

I've been following Chevillard as a surname but with having a word after this in the document made me think maybe it can be a first name but searching online suggests that it's not really a thing for it? Which is why I'm curious about that word because the above and below entries end on the last name.

And lastly, the entry is for a burial if that helps.

Any ideas?

Hello, I was wondering is anyone can confirm for me where Jacques Danou and Louise Piereau are from/living.

This document is taking place in Condé-sur-Huisne and I just wanted to double check the 'Conde' I can see after their names is the same place or a different 'Conde' because looking at the records there are a few different ones and I'am struggling to make out the words near it.
