Hello all,
Help please!
In 1874 Margaret Ball reported that she and family had arrived on James Gibb in October 1850 in Port Adelaide. (noted on her admission to Royal Adelaide Hospital)
Margaret, her husband William and family, were married in Middlesex in 1837 . They had about 6 children in England before coming to Australia where they had 7 more children.
The family doesn't appear on the official passenger list for the James Gibb. Were names left of  for any reason? It's a mystery!  Help appreciated.  Thank you. Dougmc

Hi all,
Any help greatly appreciated.
William Ball m. Margaret Bailey in 1837 at St Mary of Aldermary, Middlesex
They had two children in England. John Gow Ball and Ann Ball listed in the 1841 census.
About ten years later, William and Margaret had about 8 more children in South Australia.
It's a complete mystery as to when they arrived in Australia.

Help!
regards, Dougmc :)

Hello,
We have hit a brick wall with William Ball m. Margaret Bailey in 1837 at St Mary's of Aldemary.
William and Mary emigrated to Australia later, but we would love to trace them back further if possible.
Any help or ideas appreciated.

« on: Saturday 25 May 19 12:29 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can help please?

William Bailey (tailor) married Margaret Bailey in 1837 at St Mary's of Aldermary church.
The address given for both William and Margaret was 7 Tower Royal.

Was 'Tower Royal' at that time a street name, accommodation of some sort, a part of he Tower of London, or somewhere else?

thanks for any assistance.

Armed Forces / Sparrell 65th Regiment of foot Barbados 1834
« on: Monday 14 October 13 07:29 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,

Not sure if anyone can help.......

Recently discovered my ggggrandmother was Sarah Sparrell.......an Irish orphan who came to Australia in 1849 aged 15/16 years old.

Her father served with 65th Foot Regiment and Sarah was born in 1834 in Barbados, West Indies.
(Army Births and Baptisms  2879 (AB91)  Vol. 906 Page 10)

Is there any way of finding the original record and details of Sarah's father or mother?

Thanks for any help or suggestions,

kind regards,

Dougmc :)
