« on: Sunday 29 May 11 18:30 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to trace my husbands grandmother's side of the family.  I have managed to trace the family once they came to Canada.  Luke McIntomney died in 28 Apr 1886 and is buried in Pemborke, Renfrew Co, Ontario and on his stone it has him as born in Armagh Co, Ireland.   His age  77 yrs 1 mo 16 days old at the time of death (making his birth poss Mar 10 1819).  I have found that his parents where John and Matilda Neil.  I know that he came to Canada in early 1830s as he married Sarah McPeak in Nov 1835.  I would really like to find info on his family before he came to Canada.  Any help appreciated.

Shetland / Shewan family
« on: Thursday 12 May 11 18:10 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for info on Robert Shewan who married Catherine Irvine in 1851.  I know they had two children Peter b 1853  & Robina b 1854.  Catherine remarried John Hunter in 1866 so Robert would have died between 1855 & 1866.  Peter later lived in Lerwick, Liverpool and North Leith (Edinburgh) where he married Grace Hughson and raised his family.  Sadly Peter too died young in 1894, he drowned off Aberdeen in the North Sea.  I believe Robert Shewan may have died at sea.   Both men where mariners, fisherman & seaman.

Pembrokeshire / Davies Family of Capel-Colman
« on: Thursday 12 May 11 17:52 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find out about the Davies family who lived near Capel-Colman.  I know that Daniel helped to design the chapel there and they lived at Blaenpwllddu Farm.  The family was still in the area in the 1830's and 40's before my Owen moved to Cilgerran.  The family where very strong in the church and produced several ministers.  Owen was a stone mason by trade his whole life.  Other then the census and a marriage cert, I have nothing on the family from Capel-Colman.  I believe there is a family plot in Capel-Colman where several are buried.

Looking for family of Samuel Stevens who married Mary Woolhead in Soulbury in 1708
They lived in Stewkley and had six children.  Samuel died in 1832 and Mary in 1828.  I am trying to trace the children to determine the correct line of my family.

Family say it to be John but I'm need proof as we seem to loose the line in Adstock or Winslow.

children:  Zachaeus b 1710 d 1737, Mary b 1713, Wm b 1718, Joan b 1715 d 1738, John b 1719 d 1755.  All children who's death are listed died in Stewkley except John who died in Winslow.

John married Judith Hall in 1744 in Hoggerston and she died 1752 also in Winslow.
They had Thomas b 1745, William b 1746, John b 1748, John b 1750 and Robert b 1752

Does anyone have information on the family that remained in or around Winslow?
My William Stevens was said to be born in Adstock or Winslow, depending on whech census year you go by, thus the confusion in the tree.    He is said to be the grandson of William , son of John but I need some sort of documentation to prove.   Any help would be apprecicated.
