Doing my research from Australia, and via the net,is it possible to get copies of death certificates via the net and pay by credit card and get the information via email rather than snail mail?

Also what information would one expect to gain from these certificates........Can someone please help?

The Common Room / 1841 census question!!!!
« on: Wednesday 31 May 06 08:31 BST (UK)  »
Hi there gang........Whilst doing searches of the 1841 census I found an entry that has me baffled!!

Can anybody tell me what NK stands for? In one search a family member was recorded as NK aged 30 yrs old.

I then put in the search engine the letters NK for the surname and came up with 361 different peoples name recorded as NK.........THis has me stumped.

Can anybody enlighten me on what this means.

                Regards Jack Ricks

Australia Lookups completed / How do I find....................??
« on: Friday 26 May 06 06:27 BST (UK)  »
How do I find out when and what ship my grandfather left England and also his parents and siblings.
His name was George John Ricks b1862 in Christian Malford and maybe left England before the 1881 census as he is not shown as being in England.
His brother Charles b1855 arrived in Australia in Dec 1878 on the ship ACONCAGUA in Victoria.

GGgrandfather John Ricks b1811Purton,wife Matha b1834 Bath,George b1862,Matha b1863,Annie b 1865,Elizabeth b1868,Eliza b1870,Fredrick b1873,Sidney b1874 and Fanny b1876 all from Christian Malford left after the 1881 census and arrived be for Dec 1882 as one of the girls married then.
They settled at Cherry Gardens in the Adeaide hills of South Australia....their descendent's are still on the same property.

Is there some records that can be looked up to find this information........Any help would be appreciated.
Kind regards Jack Ricks (Mandurah West Australia)
