Travelling People / Cooper Romany Devon

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about Romany Coopers's in Devon,  My great -gran says we are related to a James Cooper born in the 1850's in Dorset, who settled in Devon, I know its a long shot but someone may put us on the right track , any sort of help would be appreciated.
