I'm seeking information on Matthew Porter born 1867 Bretforton, Worcestershire - was working as a servant in Glouceastershire in 1881 and was a coachman at Buckingham Palace in 1901.  any further information would be gratefully received. Lizzyboo

HELP! I'm trying to find a record of my grandmother. Her name was Jane Patterson-Ford, born in Fifeshire 1871 - Married Matthew Porter pre 1901 and lived at Buckingham Palace Mews until around 1915, then Rodbourne, Wiltshire. Died July 1941 and is buried in Box (Wilts), but I can't find any record of her before her marriage. Would love to hear from anyone who can help.

Does anyone know where the orphanage was situated in Trebetherick? it existed in the 1920's &30's and is where my mother-in-law spent the first 16 years of her life, but I can't find any trace of it
