Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / 1901 census look up - Phillips, Bristol
« on: Monday 18 September 06 20:06 BST (UK)  »
Would be grateful if some-one could look up the following for me on the 1901 Census.

Frank Phillips, born 03/05/1899, living at 14 Weare's Building, Bedminster Bristol at the time of registration of his birth.
Father - George Edwin Phillips, Housepainter (Journeyman)
Mother - Agnes Phillips, formerly Ascott.

Who else was living with them at the time of the census.

Also, if you don't mind, the 1891 census for George Edwin Phillips - where was he living and who with.

Thanks very much for the help

Kim

Somerset Completed Lookup Requests / Look ups - 1851 through to 1877
« on: Friday 08 September 06 17:54 BST (UK)  »
Would very much appreciate someone checking for these people, on marriage and census.  As much information as can be found would be great.

Thomas Paisey and Elizabeth Paisey (nee Castle), married 1867, St Swithins Walcot, Bath.

Thomas was born 1847, Lyncombe/Widcome, Bath, (Mothers maiden name Harris). Elizabeth Castle (mother maiden name Phillips), born 1849 (Lyncome/Widcombe, Bath).

There is another Elizabeth Castle born Walcot, Bath in 1846 (mothers maiden name Kingston), but Phillips is a family name so I feel it probably is the 1849 one.

They had, I believe, Thomas John Robert who died under one year old in 1869, William Charles born 1869. The next child I have for them is Elizabeth Ada Paisey born 20/04/1877 at 4 Commercial Place, Bristol, so there's quite a gap between William and Elizabeth Ada.

Thanks so much for your help.

Gloucestershire / Decendant of Guy, Frampton on Severn
« on: Monday 28 August 06 19:43 BST (UK)  »
I have just discovered the following message on Curious Fox but cannot do a message to the person who placed the message, and don't know his name.

I am researching the Guy family from Frampton on Severn. I am descended from James Guy (1816-1899) who married Hannah Rea (d. 1888) in Frampton 2nd Oct 1838. Their eldest son George Lambert Guy (b. 29th Sept 1839 is my gg-grandfather.

I have Frampton on Severn in my family tree and wondered if the following is part of the 'Curious Fox' persons tree.

This is the information I have -

On 25/02/1849 at the Parish Church of St Philips & Jacob, Bristol, Emily Guy (spinster, full age, of this parish) married John Frederick Frape (bachelor, full age, Waterman of this parish) - son of Giles Frape, Parish Clerk.  Emily Guy was the daughter of James Guy and Eliza Goulding.  She died 13/12/1856, aged 27, of consumption.  She was baptised on 30/11/1828 at Arlingham Parish Church

Dear 'Mystery Man' - does this fit into your tree.

Please let me know.  I have information on the Frapes, kindly given me by some one else.

Thanks

Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / 1891 census lookup, Hart, Bristol
« on: Sunday 06 August 06 12:02 BST (UK)  »
Please could you check out the following for me. ???

I am looking for a Hannah Hart (apparently born in Wells or Wem, Shropshire)

At the time of the 1891 census she was apparently living at 6 Unity Court, St Phillips, Bristol.

I need to know who was living with her as she was supposed to be widowed from her first husband George Peters (a West Indian man) and married to a William Hart born in Manchester.  She may have a daughter Charlotte and sons Robert and Henry (aka Harry) living with her.  I have lost a child of hers - James Peters born in Salford in 1879 and need to know if he was with her on this census.

Thanks very much :-*

Does anyone know anything about Providence Place?

Thanks very much, any help is much appreciated.

World War One / WW1 Soldiers personal details
« on: Tuesday 01 August 06 22:10 BST (UK)  »
Please can someone confirm this.  ???

I saw a small article in one of the Metro newspapers on my bus yesterday.

It said that WW1 soldiers personal details would soon be available on line at the National Archive UK site.  Is this true?  Has anyone else heard this?
