Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Howden Cottages, Cotheridge
« on: Tuesday 12 September 06 22:27 BST (UK)  »
Hello everyone. My Grand parents lived in the Worcester Village of Cotheridge in the early 1900s 1915 for certain. thier address was Howden  or Howsden Cottages. I have learned that these Cottages have been demolished, but at the time they were nicknamed the Ink Pots. Some one suggested to me that as the local farms were hopp growers in the 19th centuary they may have been converted oust houses as the hopp growing declined. I would be very greatful if some one knew that was the case. Or if any one has any information about Cotheridge or the Hamlet of Howden/ Howsden.
Thanks    Nettex

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Annie ????
« on: Tuesday 12 September 06 11:27 BST (UK)  »
Hello everyone. I am looking for any information about Annie. She was born in Birmingham in 1895 on the 1901 census she is living with her parents James and Amelia Rowles. Her mother Amelia was earlyer married to John Williams in Birmingham. I can not find a birth cert for Annie Rowles, but i know she married John Nolan in 1929. on her wedding cert previous surnames for Annie are Pressdee,Drinkwater, or Williams. This leads me to believe that John Williams and not James Rowles was her father. Do the other names on the wedding cert mean she had been married before.
Thanks. Nettex.

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Buntings in Birmingham.
« on: Monday 11 September 06 10:49 BST (UK)  »
Hello every one. I am trying to find information about the Bunting family from Birmingham. The 1881 census has the family living at 2 Wind Mill hill , but that should read Wind Mill St. there names are as follows.
Edward head 38 brass dresser
Isabella wife 34 button maker
Edward son 13 brass dresser
John son 11
Janet daughter 10
Flora daughter 8
Isabella daughter 4
Cornelius son 3
Elizabeth daughter 1
I know that Cornelius had a middle name Edward and Edward Jnrs middle name was Cornelius as was Edward Snrs middle name this causes confution in later censuses as they seem to swap names. {i hope that makes sense.} I would be greatful for any information about this family befoe or after the 1881 census
Thanks        Nettex
