Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Annie Whitehall
« on: Tuesday 29 September 09 20:31 BST (UK)  »
This is another lovely picture I have posted on behalf of my friend Allan. I'm afraid we have had no control over the resolution as it was scanned by one of his relatives. We are both convinced that she is wearing some pretty heavy theatrical make-up around the eyes. If possible, can this be removed so we can see what she really looked like? I tried and failed!! Apparently her hair was a gingery blonde for those of you who want to try some colouring. We don't know what colour her eyes were though.
Thanks in aniticipation,
Bryo.

« on: Tuesday 29 September 09 19:03 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone work their magic on this one please? It doesnt belong to me, but my work colleague asked me to scan it properly for him with a hope of getting a good repair.
The names that have been sliced through by the crack are:
Rear row: Pte. Gee, J
Middle row: Pte. Wilkins, W
Front row: Pte. Tidman, G
                  Pte. Barnwell, J

If anyone wants a much higher resolution image to work from please PM me with your e-mail address.

Thanks in anticipation,
Bryo.

London and Middlesex / Edward Drummond baptism circa 1820
« on: Friday 29 May 09 15:59 BST (UK)  »
I am posting this request on behalf of my dear friend Sarah.

Sarah is looking for a baptism of an Edward Drummond in the Southwark area of London circa 1820.
She has two marriage certificates for this chap, the first gives Edward's father's name as Alexander Drummond and the second gives his father's name as James Drummond.

The Edward Drummond on the IGI, son of James and Hester Drummond, baptised 6 January 1822 is not the one.

On the first marriage certificate Alexander's occupation is a musical instrument maker and on the second James is a cabinet maker.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.

This is another one from the Bryo/Cazza collection and it is giving us a bit of a headache to say the least as we are trying to work out who these people were. We think we know but...

Can you please have a go at giving us a date?

If you want to have a go at restoration/colouring then please feel free to do so but the date is more important!!!

Thanks in anticipation,
Bryo and Caz.

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Sisters?
« on: Wednesday 28 May 08 20:25 BST (UK)  »
Can you give these two a bit of a clean up and colour please?
I think I know who they are but a date for the photo and a guess at the ages of the girls would be extremely helpful.

Thanks again,
Bryo.

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / John R and Charlotte Burditt
« on: Saturday 17 May 08 18:57 BST (UK)  »
This is John Rimmington Burditt and his wife Charlotte (Mutton) I believe. Charlotte was born in 1846 and was the sister of my GG Grandma Rachel.

This photo must have been taken at the same time as the other one I posted and again I think there is a strong likeness with the two ladies. The common feature is the table and looking through all of the photos I have there is about six or seven all with the same chairs, tables, backgrounds and stools.

If you want to have a go at giving it a restore and colour please do so but please give it a low priority as I am very aware of the time and effort you guys put into your work and I don't want to appear to be monopolising the board. Could this be another 1913 photo?

Bryo.

Can you work your usual magic on this lovely lady please? This is another from the Bryo and Cazza59 photo collection and it would be a bonus if someone could date it. Thank you in anticipation.

Here is the other bridesmaid as promised. Can you possibly do a similar colouring job as you did with the first?

Thanks in anticipation.

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / William Wilkinson
« on: Thursday 13 March 08 19:16 GMT (UK)  »
This is William Wilkinson who was my grandad and who originated from Brighton. He is also a relly of my real life cousin Cazza59. The picture is dated 1912 and was taken at Husbands Bosworth Hall, Leicestershire. Can you please do a nice restoration and add a bit of colour? Thanks in anticipation.
