Wicklow / BROOKE Family
« on: Friday 08 November 13 11:33 GMT (UK)  »
In 1878 a FRANCES BREEN married ALLEN LEWIS BROOKE at Blessington.   He was a Farmer and the son of another ALLEN LEWIS BROOKE, Confectioner.     I am interested in finding out more about this BROOKE family.  For example, did they live in Blessington or did he just put Blessington as his Residence at the time of the marriage?   Does anyone have a connection to the above marriage?

Kildare / NOWLAN and CAVANAGH families, Castledermot area
« on: Wednesday 14 August 13 11:23 BST (UK)  »
I have recently traced my line back to an ANNE NOWLAN baptised at Castledermot on 6 April 1811, dr. of JOHN NOWLAN and ANNE CAVANAGH.  She appears to have had the following siblings - MARIA baptised 1802, ELIZABETH baptised 1806 (most likely died young) as another ELIZABETH baptised 1813 and GERARD baptised 1815.
If anyone knows more about these families it would be great to hear from them.
ANNE NOWLAN married TIMOTHY BREEN in 1837 at Castledermot.  I have some information on this line, and of course,  I am also researching the BREEN family.  TIMOTHY was born about 1801 but I have nothing to say he was definitely born in Co.Kildare.  TIMOTHY and ANNE BREEN went on to live near Blessington.

Surrey / HENDERSON living Portmore Park, Weybridge 1920s
« on: Saturday 08 December 12 14:43 GMT (UK)  »
I know that a member of the HENDERSON family was living at Sandycroft, Portmore Park, Weybridge in 1926.  An Eliza Ann Henderson gave her next of kin to be "Miss" HENDERSON living at this address.

I am looking for suggestions as to how I might find the forename of this "Miss" Henderson.

I don't have access to Street Directories etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wicklow / ENNISKERRY HEADSTONES
« on: Friday 20 July 12 11:42 BST (UK)  »
From Memory I think there were researchers interested in Headstones at Enniskerry Church.    I have recently contributed a further 83 headstone photos and text to -

I hope they help someone with their research

Cheshire / Rosemount School, Chester
« on: Wednesday 25 January 12 11:36 GMT (UK)  »
I am seeking  a photo of Rosemount Private School which was at 32 Liverpool Road, Chester during the 1940s - 1960s.   The property is no longer there, having been demolished and more modern housing built on the land.  Also neither the Heritage Centre, nor the Records Office in Chester hold a photo.

My relatives, the Maddocks, owned this School.  Any information about the School and/or photos would be most welcome.  I already have copies of entries from Kelly's Directories.

Dublin / CHARTERS or CHARTRES Family
« on: Friday 03 September 10 15:09 BST (UK)  »
I am wondering if there is anyone researching these names and in particular the family that lived at Shanganagh/Rathmichael early 1900s.  They appear in both 1901 and 1911 Census.

A William Charters married Marianne (Mary Anne) Williams in 1859 and had three children.  Only one survived into the 1900s, i.e. John, and I am interested in knowing more about his descendants.

I do have a list of copy registrations to get, but it would be nice to make a connection with someone from this family.

Wicklow / BREEN
« on: Saturday 20 March 10 10:54 GMT (UK)  »
I am seeking information on the BREEN family that lived at Crosscoolharbour, Blessington in the 1800s.  TIMOTHY BREEN born about 1800 married ANNE NOWLAN (possibly Nolan) at Castledermot in Co. Kildare in 1837.  Their first child appears to be a WILLIAM BREEN, and I know they also had a MARGARET.

Needless to say I would love to hear from anyone connected to this family.  I am also trying to find out where the early Catholic Church Records for Blessington are held.   The records at the National Library commence early 1850s.  I know for sure that earlier records do exist as I have used IFHF.
