Suffolk Lookup Requests / TYRRELL in and around Kessingland, Suffolk 1800-1836
« on: Tuesday 18 February 14 16:24 GMT (UK)  »
I'm hoping to find the marriage of a George Tyrrell to and Elizabeth Simmons around 1826 and the births/baptisms of their six children after that date.
I believe two of them were William 13 Aug 1826 and Frederick March 1831. Both born in Kessingland.
The family are mentioned in data I found about George Tyrrell relating to his job as a Coastguard. He was drowned in August 1836 along with two other men when taking an officer from one station to another on the Sussex coast.  Their boat was his by a squall and the only survivor was the officer. It stated that George had a wife and six children.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / 1851 Census Lookup-Fleetwood

I have all the LFH&H Books except this one.......

Looking for the family of Timothy and Elizabeth Cragg and want to confirm their offspring, year they were born and where.  This family seemed to have been nomads and Timothy did whatever he could to support his family from Farming to shop keeping and finally as a labourer.

Timothy was born about 1816 in Ellel, Lancaster
Elizabeth was born at about 1812 and not sure where.
Some children were born in Scotforth and others in Preston and Fleetwood.
Thanking you in anticipation

Tryphana born 1789 in Brantham was the daughter of Stephen Double born in Stratford St Mary April 1761. He married Sarah Smith born circa 1761 in Brantham and their marriage was on the 24th April 1784 in Brantham. Tryphana was one of 6 children and named after her Grandmother who's maiden name was Lewis.
I have her possible married to a William Taylor but no other details.
Could I possibly have a look-up in the Brantham Parish Records for such a marriage around 1807 when Tryphana would have been about 18.
Here's hoping.

There are two possible marriages 1: John Stockton Johnson
                                                2: John William Furby

I have tried looking them up as a couple in the 1881 Census without any success.  There is an Eliza with Mr Furby but it says she was born in Yorkshire and I know that she was born in Skegness.
There is a John S Johnson a widower, a boarder with the Lamb family in Skeffling.

Could someone with knowledge of the Bridlington Marriages perhaps let me know which is the correct spouse.

Hoping you can help

I am having real trouble getting BMD information for Poulton-le-Fylde and parishes within a ten mile radius, so am wondering if all the registers have been transcribed or, are there more in the pipeline.
Would I be better for now visiting the Records Office in Preston?

John O'Donnell and Margaret Alice O'Donnell
She was born 1887 in Wesham, Kirkham
It is his age and place of birth which I need.
They were married in Blackpool in 1906 so may have children by the time that Census was taken.
Many thanks

Hi
I'm still plodding through my husbands 'Cardwell' tree and have come across this couple for whom there doesn't appear to be a marriage on line.
Nicholas was born in Ballam about 1851, the son of William & Betty.  Rosamund was born in Treales in January of 1855 the daughter of Joseph and Isabella.
I have the following as the children of that marriage:
William Edward 1878
Joseph 1882
Margaret Alice 1887
Mary Ellen (no date)
Ann 1891 and
Isabella 1896
Would love details of the marriage and confirmation that the children are correct.
Kind Regards
Sandra

Lancashire / MOXHAM Mystery
« on: Thursday 14 November 13 17:44 GMT (UK)  »
Joseph Aloysius Moxham was married twice. His second marriage in 1901 was to a Margaret Alice Smith.
They had seven children however, Lancashire BMD is showing that several of those children were born to a different mother with the surname Dawson. (A Theresa Dawson stood as a witness at their marriage).
My theory is that the children were registered by Miss Dawson and that for whatever reason, the registrar put her name as the mother instead of Margaret Alice. My reason for this conclusion is, that in the Lancashire BMD Births, the name of the first child Thomas Benedict Moxham is assigned to both women and, under the same certificate number.
She must have been a very close friend to have been tasked with registering all the births bar 1.
Is there a Moxham relative out there who can shed light on this one for me.
Many Thanks
Sandra

Would some kind person please look up this marriage for the parents of Ellen.

William was born in Freckleton and I found the pair living with his mother in Higher Road Freckleton in the 1851 Census (Luckily bought those whilst monies allowed).

Many thanks

Sandra
