a Robert Wallbridge was born on 18 April 1817, son of Joseph and Mary
Wallbridge of Newport and Baptised on 15 June 1817 at St James Street
Independent Chapel, Newport.

Additionally a  Robert Walbridge of Newport was buried on 27 January 1824 age 6,  -- No info as to when this one was born or WHERE or who his parents were.

I am trying to prove that they were NOT one and the same as my great grandfather was a Robert WALLBRIDGE reported to have been born on the IOW in the time period 1817-1821 who later immigrated to Ontario, Canada and the first Robert was the only birth that we can find a record of as having been born during this time period.

Can any help me prove or disprove that the first Robert mentioned lived to adulthood?  My Robert married in 1839 in Canada so he would have had to have immigrated sometime between 1817 -  1838.

Thanking you for any assistance you can render.

Sincerely

Judi (Wallbridge) McRae

« on: Tuesday 10 August 04 08:31 BST (UK)  »
Is there a way on this site of finding out who (among your members) are researching the same Surnames as I am ... such as Little in Cumberland County or Little in Dumfriesshire or Campbell in Argyllshire?
