For Sale / Wanted / Events / Hawkesbury Landholders CDs - NEW
« on: Thursday 08 March 07 04:14 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, Just thought I would let you know about my Hawkesbury Landholders CDs which are available now.

I specialise in NSW Land research and have a special interest in the Hawkesbury River where I have traced the land holders of the villages of Pearl Beach and Patonga, (now released on Vol 1) at the mouth of the river.

Vol 2a covers part of the Old System land held in the the Parishes of Ham Common and St Matthew and the towns of Windsor and Richmond which were settled in the very early days of the Colony of NSW. The remainder of the Old System land and the Torrens Title land held in this area will be released on future CDs, as, in time, will land in the other Parishes adjoining the Hawkesbury River. This is an ongoing project.

The data is in Excel format with an Excel reader included.

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.

Happy hunting
Helen

For Sale / Wanted / Events / Track down your ancestors in Australia
« on: Thursday 08 March 07 04:01 GMT (UK)  »
Have you lost any ancestors who may have come to Australia?

Are you stuck with a brick wall?

Land records are a great source of information when tracking down where and when your ancestors were at certain times.

Land records, available from 1792 for NSW (and Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland and New Zealand up to the time of separation of each state etc.)
are all held and accessible in one form or another in NSW

These records reveal not only land transactions but they contain some amazing family stories about the lives, family relationships, business dealings, successes and failures of our ancestors. Much of this information is not available elsewhere.

The task of researching land records can be extremely daunting and difficult for the uninitiated.

I have researched these records extensively for the last 7 years and have an intricate knowledge of these records from an historical and family history perspective.

I provide a professional Land Research and consultancy service as well as talks to family history and other groups about land research and using NSW parish maps as an aid to Family history research.

My other services include, full Property Ownership Histories, assistance in finding the facts for those who are writing books and my Hawkesbury Landholders series of CDs, of which two are available now with more to follow.

Information and reports can be emailed across the world and copies of any documents if required are sent via post.

I would be happy to help you track down your ancestors whether missing or not.

Looking forward to assisting you

Helen
