Please can someone help me? I am looking for the burial of my gt grand uncle Richard John Thompson d. 1932 in Radford, Nottinghamshire - I haven't a clue how many cemeteries are in the area - the family lived at 14 Osborne Street, Radford (he was a fireman for many years at the Tobacco factory there)- his wife Margaret still lived on in the home till 1936ish but not sure where she went after that. Never found a death for her. They have two children but have never been able to get a handle on them : James Thomas b. 1912 & Margaret Ellen b. 1914

Thank you

Buteshire / McNeil found in Kingarth-Piperhall
« on: Sunday 06 May 07 16:56 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Is anyone out there connected or can anyone help in tracing some background on my gt.gt.gt. grandfather and mother - Neil (Daniel)b. 1764c & Mary McNeil b.1772c  both born in Ireland and found on 1841 census in Piperhall.
They moved back down into Cumbria after this date, but am interested in finding out if they have any more connections in Scotland?

They did live in Cumbria having their family there and then suddenly pop up in Piperhall for some reason?

Thank you

Cumberland / MCAVOY/MCVOY & MCNEIL- Cockermouth, Cumbria
« on: Saturday 11 March 06 22:12 GMT (UK)  »
Looking for families of these surnames in Cockermouth. Earliest I have is 1853 for Hugh Mcavoy b. 1816c in Cockermouth(although he's a hard nut to follow). he could have been given another first name though but cannot find anything of this man in 1841 or 1851, but I have him from 1861 onwards.
The Mcneil's/Mcneal's are in particular the family of Daniel and Mary Mcneil both b. Ireland but came and raised family in Cockermouth - anyone got their children in their tree's?

Would be very grateful for any info.

Thanks

Cheshire / Rockferry query?
« on: Saturday 11 March 06 21:27 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to understand why I have seen that Rockferry didn't exsist till the late 1800's when I have seen a birth record for 1852 with the place of birth as Rockferry Cheshire??

I am also wondering if any hospitals had census's taken for 1841 and 1851 from that area?

Please could someone put me right about these questions.

Thanks

Barbara E ???
