...for James GUEST and Sarah SOUTHALL, 2nd September 1804 would be most appreciated.

James and Sarah appear on the 1851 census, Double Row, Darby End, Nail Maker
James b. 1775, Dudley Worcester, age 75
Sarah b. 1782, Lye Waste, age 68

Still researching, but they had numerous children (who, in turn, had numerous children) as follows:

William, c. 1806 (might be James's Dad's name)
John (might be Sarah's Dad's name)
Mary (James's Mum's s name possibly)
Sarah
Elizabeth (Sarah's Mum's possibly)
James, b. 1816  = Matilda nee PLANT (mine- 2x)...married 1835, 15th March, Old Swinford
Rosannah
Priscilla
Daniel

Born in Stourbridge myself but miles from the area now for looking at local records...

Thank you,

Lesley :)

Re: Robert LOWE, b. 1898, Stockport on the 1901. :)

Would like to identify his family on the 1901.  He later married Minnie SHEPLEY, b. 1901, Stockport, following with a daughter Marjorie.

Robert may be related to my grandad PERRY's family from Stockport on the earlier censuses.

Thank you.

Regards,

Lesley

Hello,

Looking for information on 3x ggrandparents marriage listed as (FreeBMD):

September 1847
Sculcoates
John PERRY
Mary AINSWORTH

Parents names would help identify John PERRY, b. 1826c. in Stockport, Cheshire on the 1841 census ???

Mary AINSWORTH b. 1828c., Hull, is difficult to identify on the IGI at the moment.

John and Mary lived in Kingston- upon-Hull:

1851 census: Goddard Street, Sutton, St. Marks, Kingston-upon-Hull
1861 census: Cheapside, Sutton, Hodernefs, St. Marks, Hull
1871 census: back in Stockport

Children: Samuel James, Alice, John, Walter, Mary, Hannah Eliza, Emma, Sarah, Ann and Frank.

Any interested welcomed.

Researching: :)

Thomas and Elizabeth VAUGHAN, Bakers in Wem, High Street
b. Loppington, 1806 and  b. Aston 1816

1861 with children:

Thomas, b. 1841, 20,  Wem
Elizabeth, 18
Annie, 17
Fanny, 12
Charles, 11
David Frederick, 9, b. 1851

1871:  David Frederick is in Shrewsbury living in the same houshold as Ann MORRIS, b. 1852, servant, who had a daughter, Alice MORRIS, in 1874.   The father is not listed on Alice's birth certificate.

1891: David Frederick is in Brighton, single, Drapers Assistant
1901:   "        "

My ggran Alice nee MORRIS has Frederick MORRIS as her father on her 1898 marriage certificate.  MORRIS is her mother's maiden name, so some form of Frederick is possible for the father's first name, unless gran completely made up her father's name.  ???

Any interest welcomed...

Regards, Lesley

Shropshire Lookup Requests / Alice MORRIS, 1874, look up please
« on: Saturday 29 September 07 22:25 BST (UK)  »
Hello,

...Looking for parish record information on Alice MORRIS born September 24th  1874, St. Alkmond, Shrewsbury.

...mother Ann registered Alice's birth soon after, in Forton, Montford, near Montford Bridge, Shropshire.

...family members have Montford, near Montford Bridge as their parish entry...

...Alice's birth certificate has no listing for her father...but perhaps the Montford parish record has a notation from the vicar about Alice's father.

This is one way of possibly discovering the father of Alice.

Mother Ann was a servant in Shrewsbury.  Ann gave birth to Alice at (Ann's) sister Martha TAYLOR's home in St. Alkmond Square.  A few days later mom Ann went home to Forton.  Mom and Alice appear in Wolverhampton a few years later.

I believe Alice may be my ggrandma Alice Edith ELLIS nee MORRIS, born Wolverhampton (1901) whose father was listed as Frederick MORRIS.  MORRIS is the maiden name and Frederick may be Alice Edith father's name, unless she made it up.

Thank you.

Regards,

Lesley ???

...interested in information on the Shropshire Parish Records...in particular the records from Atcham including:

...Alice MORRIS, 1873 Atcham, 6a 716 (free bmd)

...this may be the record for my ggran Alice Edith MORRIS, b. 1873c. Staff. Wolverhampton (census 1901)

...the most likely Alice MORRIS for my ggran was living in Wolverhampton on the 1881, with Ann LAIGHT, as a niece, and has a Shropshire (1875) birth entry...

Shropshire / MORRIS from Montford
« on: Saturday 07 April 07 15:54 BST (UK)  »
On the earlier censuses there is a Thomas MORRIS, b. 1816, laborer, wife Sarah, and several children living in Montford, near Shrewsbury.

I am looking for information on this family because my ggran Alice Edith MORRIS might be related to these people.
