Canada / Curtis / Morfey family in Canada
« on: Sunday 17 January 10 13:36 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I am trying to trace descendants of the Curtis and Morfey families who are supposed to have emigrated to Canada around 1940 - 1950.
My grandmother's sister, Ethel Maud Wray (b1898) married an Edward Morfey in 1921. They had two children: Ethel and Arthur Morfey. Ethel Morfey married a William Curtis in Essex UK in 1941.
My family tradition is that Ethel and Edward Morfey emigrated to Canada and were never heard from again. No sign of the Curtis family or Arthur Morfey in any UK records either. So our guess is that they also emigrated.
Is any Canadian lister researching any of these families?

Northamptonshire / Mallard family in Northamptonshire
« on: Saturday 11 July 09 16:09 BST (UK)  »
Is any lister researching the Mallard family of Northamptonshire?
My ggg Grandfather was George Mallard. He was born around 1811 in Northampton and moved to the Strand area of London where he married Frances Bringlow in 1831.
Found on the 1841 census: HO 107 / 741 b1
1851 census: HO 107 / 1512 f.201 p.29
I can trace the family forward fairly well, but I would like to delve into George's Northampton roots if possible. Has any lister got a George Mallard in their Northants. family who may fit?
Kind Regards

Is anyone researching the Morfey family of London?
the branch I'm interested in has a marriage of Edward Morfey (B.1898 Kensington?) to an Ethel Maud Wray (B.1898 Pancras). The marriage took place in 1921 in Islington. I'm particularly keen to find any descendants of Ethel and Edward Morfey.

I can trace the family forward, but so far have not been able to trace them further back to see where the family originated from.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 1901 census lookup request

Could someone look up who was living in Pine street Clerkenwell in 1901? I am looking for a Charles Wray who was living at No. 12 in 1904. As far as I know Charles never married, but he might have other members of his family with him. I think Pine street was a very short street.

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / 1851 census lookup request for Burrill
« on: Wednesday 09 May 07 21:37 BST (UK)  »
Could someone lookup a Charles Burrill on the 1851 census.Charles was  born abt. 1817 in Clerkenwell. (according to 1861 census:RG99 / 177). Charles was married in 1856. It is quite possible that the name has been mis-transcribed as Burrell. Address in 1861 was 35 Hart street, Covent garden, Westminster. There is a possible family connection to Lambeth, Surrey around 1820
Kind Regards
