Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Are they the same person?
« on: Saturday 11 April 09 12:09 BST (UK)  »
Hello.  Could these be the same person?

Her name is Asta Brandenburg nee Levold.  She died in 1894, at the age of about 48.
Could the sideways facing one corrospond with this?  It is a copy of an original, so it does not have anything on the back or the border.   I see similarities between the 2 pictures, but what do others think?

Thank you and Happy easter.

Dan

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Please compare these people, and date.
« on: Saturday 17 January 09 07:52 GMT (UK)  »
Hello all,
I recieved these photos from a now desceased relative named Esther.  One is her grandmother Asta Brandenburg nee Levold. she was born in 1846 and died in 1894.
The other is of her great grandmother Johanna Eleonore Catharina Levold nee Kasch. (1820-1908). Both were from Island Ruegen in north germany. They were from the fathers side of the family.

The 3rd photo is unknown, could it be either of the other 2 people?  It was made on Island Fehrmarn, also in northern Germany.
Esthers mothers family was from Fehrmarn, but she didn't think it was one of them.

Any ideas of dates?  There is nothing on the back of them. :'(

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Is this the same lady?
« on: Sunday 07 September 08 06:32 BST (UK)  »
Hi.  Could you please look at this composite photo, and tell me if the ladies are the same person. It is said that the top left is a sister of the man (Fred Levold), the two on the right are suppose to be of Fred and his Fiance (Martha Winslett).  The child in the bottom left is from a photo taken at the same time/place as the top left photo, so could be her son.  Does anyone think there is a family resemblance? I personally think that the child loos like the lady in the top right.

If only the photos could talk. :)

Thanks,

Daniel

This is a 1908 wedding photo of my great grandparents. Henry and Emma Ferris.
Can it please be coloured. (If possible). I'm not sure what the original colours would have been.

I can email a larger version of it to anyone.

Thank-you

Daniel

When would this have been taken?
William was born 1857, and died 1915.
And could someone please color him?

EDIT.  I added a 'untouched' version of the photo.

Thank-You

Daniel

Kent Lookup Requests / Lookup. Noble and Sheepwash marriage.
« on: Wednesday 06 June 07 21:23 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for information on the parents of a Hannah Noble (b. abt.1764 in Addison, Kent)

Her parents were names (Father) Noble and (Mother) Sheepwash.

I think I had the wrong family. The parents more than likely came from Bapchild, and were called John Noble, and Mary Sheepwash, born about 1725 and 1729 respectivly,  but I have no proof.
Thank-you
