Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Danygraig Cemetery Burial Lookup - PASCOE
« on: Monday 24 July 23 14:06 BST (UK)  »
Good Afternoon Everyone,

Would it be possible for someone with access to the burial records for this cemetery, to look up the plot number and burial dates for a couple of relatives?

They are all buried in the same grave in this cemetery:

Name: Kathleen Margaret Pascoe
D: 1888/1889
D: 1920 Q1

Name: William John Pascoe
B: 1884
D: 1944 Q4

Name: William John Pascoe (Son of Above)
B:1913/1914
D: 1960 Q1

Name: Gloria E M Pascoe (Could possibly be listed as Thomas - she married Edward Thomas after William Pascoe Jr died, and there are two death registrations for her [one in the name Pascoe and one in the name Thomas])
B: 1920
D: 2006 Q4

Any assistance that you might be able to provide would be gratefully received.

Thank you in advance

Cornwall / Falmouth Assizes Records
« on: Saturday 04 March 23 13:55 GMT (UK)  »
Good Afternoon,

Could anybody please help to direct me to where I can find the Falmouth Assizes records for 1945.  I have tried doing some searches through the National Archives however nothing has come up for the individual that I'm searching for.

The individual was Olive Fowle (nee Noakes) who was charged with bigamy when she married Jan Bergsma in 1945 whilst her husband Roy William Fowle was still alive.  I've found references in the newspapers but I would like if possible to find the court records.

The trial would have taken place in Oct 1945.

Any assistance that you could provide would be gratefully received.

World War One / War Diary Question
« on: Friday 06 May 22 11:39 BST (UK)  »
Morning All,

Quick question for you, is there any reason why a court martial or execution would not be mentioned in the battalion war diary?  Or would they be mentioned in other documents (apart from the court martial documents themselves)?

Thank you

« on: Tuesday 15 March 22 09:04 GMT (UK)  »
Good Morning All,

I hope that you may be able to assist me, I am trying to trace the graves of some of my relatives who I believe are buried in St Daniel's cemetery in Pembroke.

The two individuals I am looking for are:

1. Sidney George McIntyre Noakes B: c1886 D: 28 March 1961 (16 Williamson Street, Orange Gardens, Pembroke)
2. Eliza/Elizabeth Noakes B: c1889 D: 12 Dec 1975 (16 Williamson Street, Orange Gardens, Pembroke)

The obituary for Eliza indicates that she was buried here, but gives no further information.

Any assistance that you can provide would be gratefully received.

Worcestershire Lookup Requests / COMPLETED - Astwood Cemetery Photo - SMALLEY
« on: Tuesday 31 August 21 13:11 BST (UK)  »
Good Afternoon,

Is there anybody who might be able to take a grave photo next time they go to Astwood Cemetery?  I live quite far away and it would not be easy for me to get to.

The grave I am looking for is for Eric and Catherine Smalley.  The grave is in section 37 and the grave number is 40232.

The details I have for the deceased are as follows:

Eric Smalley born 1922 died 2007
Catherine Veronica Smalley (née Pearce) born 1922 died 2011

Any help that anyone can provide would be gratefully received.

Thank you in advance.

Glamorganshire / Murder and Inquests
« on: Thursday 30 August 07 13:00 BST (UK)  »
I wonder if anybody out there can help me.

I recently learned from a relative about the murder of another of our relatives.  She gave me the story from a book called A dark Past.  In the story it talks about the Inquest that is held to determine what happened.

My question is: Where would I look to find records of this inquest?

Thanks

World War One / Executed by Firing Squad
« on: Tuesday 31 July 07 11:27 BST (UK)  »
I have recently found out through a family member that one of our relatives was executed by firing squad for killing a senior officer. Is there anywhere that I would be able to find more details about this, perhaps about the preceding court martial?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks and Regards

Gareth Smith
