Hi, Can anyone help in the recognition of these Uniforms.
The girl on the right is my Great Aunt Rosie Turner. She was born around 1905. Middlesbrough.
The other girl  Lizzie Ann McNaney was her half sister, born in 1912 also in Middlesbrough.
The girl/boy in the middle we don't know. We thought it may have been their brother/half brother George William Turner, but he died in France/Flanders 9 Apr 1917. He was in the K.O.Y.L.I.
The photo was taken at Services Studio, Middlesbrough.
The problem is they all look too young to have been in the War.
Was this a studio where you get dressed up like soldiers or nurses?
Close up of the cap badge, not to clear though.

Hi,
Not a good photo and may be impossible but can anyone recognise the uniform my grandfather is wearing. The photo was taken Middlesbrough 1939c.
Is it the Royal Artillery.?
I have a war medal card with the same name as him stating Royal Artillery, Gunner.
If the uniform is that of the Royal Artillery then I am on the right track.

Hi,
My Grandfather died in the Ministry Pensions Hospital , Dunston Hill, Whickham in 1948.
Has anyone any idea where it was or any other info about it. Have failed to find any reference to it.
His death certs states Army Pensioner. where can I access info on that.

Could someone date this photo? please.
A family member has this inherited oil portrait of an allegedly Turner ancestor.
We wonderered if there may be a connection to J.M.W.Turner the famous painter. A long, long shot we know!!
Some of our ancestors were Mariners.
