I used to subscribe before the massive change a few years ago but opted out and haven't used it since.

My Great Uncle was reported to have received The Royal Humane Society award for diving into the River Dee appears he dived in 3 times, he was living in Aberdeen at the time and this would have been 1886-1894.

Name John Alexander Rae, this is all I know.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Looking for the Mother of Florence Mary Smith Please

I have Father on both marriage certificates as John Henry Smith. In 1928 he is listed as "Collier"
On her 2nd marriage in 1955 he is listed as a "Soldier". He is not listed as deceased.

On her death in 1984 her birth is given as 17 March 1905. Florence Mary Cheshire.
Both marriages & death occurred in Bolton and there is a birth in 1905 for Florence Smith. I can't find her on the 1911 census, no baptism record, no Mother so I am stuck can't go backwards or forwards without some information.

All and any help greatly appreciated.

Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / Would Really Like Some Help With This Burial Please for Walter Abbott

Walter Abbott born 12 Aug 1903 Grendon Northants. Died in the Dec quarter 1946 (Waiting for the death certificate)

I do know that he is buried in Earls Barton Northants. His eldest Son had a headstone put on the unmarked grave. He is DEC. His 2nd child is also dec. His wife remarried and she is also dec. The only person left is the youngest child who lives in Australia and never knew his Father as he was only 15months old when his Father died.

He worked on the LM&S Railways at the time of his death. I am working on his family tree, but no where can I find a burial record.
This is what I would really like a photo of the headstone, but without a burial record I am stumped.

This is the only piece of info I am desperate to find.
Hoping maybe one of your kind people can help.

Dublin / Birth Certificate for Great Aunt Mary Please

I have never been able to find the birth certificate for Great Aunt Mary Rae, always knew she was born in Ireland and that was it.
A couple of weeks ago her Baptism appeared on Ancestry, of course I was over the moon, the thing is I still can't find a birth certificate for her. Help please.

Mary Rae birth 13 May 1891 Dublin. Parents Louis Rae & Mary McDonald. 23 Clarence Place. Dublin.
