Europe / Joseph Francois & Pauline Maree Marriage - Belgium
« on: Sunday 16 June 13 02:59 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to get marriage information of Joseph Dieudonne Francois to Pauline Victoria Maree in Namur, Belgium circa 1840.  Joseph was born in 1812 in Belgium and Pauline was born 1823 also in Belgium.  Their child, Emile Dieudonne, was born in 1843.  They had several more children before coming to the US in 1856.
Any marriage or other information about this family would be appreciated.

Perthshire / David & Jean Anderson Taylor - 1841
« on: Saturday 19 November 11 15:19 GMT (UK)  »
Trying to find David Taylor and his wife Jean Anderson Moncrieff Taylor in the 1841 census.  I have information as follows:  They were married 10 Feb 1830 in Perth.  Jean is also referred to as Jane.  Their son, Peter Anderson Taylor was born 12 Oct 1839 in Perth.  David Taylor was a marble cutter.  Another child's name was Lillas.  I have them in 1851, 1861.  Also daughter, Rachel, was born in 1851.  David Taylor died some time before 1869.  The family moved to Ontario, Canada circa 1871.  Any info on the 1841 census and previous years would be appreciated.

« on: Saturday 26 March 11 02:45 GMT (UK)  »
Need more information on the family of Robert Mathie who married Agnes Ramsay on 25 Apr 1843 in Barony.  They had about 8 children most born in Barony and 2 girls born in Blythswood, Glasgow.  First born was David in 1844, Robert in 1848.
I would like to find Agnes Ramsay in the 1841 Census as well as Robert Mathie in the 1841 census.  Also, their daughter Cecelia "Hill" Mathie I would like to know if Hill is a reference to a family name.
Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Europe / Germany: Michael & Regina Kruger from Baden
« on: Thursday 19 August 10 01:23 BST (UK)  »
Researching Kruger family from Baden, Germany.  Here are the family members:  George (Michael) Kruger, his wife, Regina and their 5 children, Elizabeth, Sophia, Ludwig, Jacob & Gottlieb.  They came to the US 1 May 1852 aboard the "Beejapore" from Germany to Liverpool.  George & Regina were born circa 1808.  In 1852 Elizabeth was 13, Sophia 11, Ludwig 8, Jacob 7 and Gottlieb 5.
Need to find the family in Germany. I believe they were Lutheran.  I don't have Michael or Regina's death certificates at this time - but both died in Brooklyn, NY circa 1860-1880.

Europe / France: Lapaille Family
« on: Saturday 17 April 10 22:23 BST (UK)  »
I am researching the Lapaille family of France.  Here's what I know so far:  The family first appears in the 1850 New York City census (surname spelled Lapell).  Rose is 40 and her daughters Juliette and Helena are 19 & 9.  Also living with them is Louisa Lapaille age 60.  All were born in France.  Rose or Rosa Lapaille's husband's name is Hypolite.  He is never named in any US census so I believe he died in France before Rose & her daughters came to the US.  I have been unable to find any immigration records for them but I believe they immigrated circa 1848.  I would like to find more info on them prior to 1850.  Any suggestions would be helpful.  I have never done any French research before.

Europe / Frederick August Schulz - Need Help
« on: Saturday 16 January 10 22:29 GMT (UK)  »
I am doing research on the Schulz family from Germany.  I have been unable to find any info on them.  I have a lot of records while they were in the US but none in Germany.  Here's what I know:

Frederick (August) Schulz (born Aug. 1833) and his wife Katharine (Kate) came to the US circa 1883 with children, George (born Dec. 1862), John P. (born May 1866) and Elizabeth(born 1874).  August Schulz was a locksmith and his son John a tinsmith.

Most of the time August Schulz does not use the name Frederick???? Katherine Schulz' father's name was Peter Weber.  On the documents only "Germany" was given - no town name.

Any help finding at least the marriage of August & Katherine Schulz would be helpful.  They spent most of their time in Brooklyn, NY.  According to the 1900 census they had been married 40 years with 5 children, 4 living.  Their daughter Elizabeth died in 1895 and is buried in All Faiths Lutheran Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
