Dumfriesshire / George Robertson Percy
« on: Sunday 30 August 09 06:47 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find information on my great uncles, George Robertson Percy, and Walter Currie Percy.  Their father (George Percy) and Stepmother (Agnes Mathieson), George, and Walter are all listed in the 1901 Census as living at 65 Glasgow Street, Maxwell Town.  Family stories indicate that they spent their adult lives around Dumfries. Any information about them and their families would be helpful.  My grandfather, James Percy, was adopted out in 1899; when George lost his first wife.

Dumfriesshire / James Moffatt Percy Jones

I am looking for data on James Moffatt Percy Jones, b. February 3, 1887, in Dumfriesshire, to George Percy and his wife (a Robertson).  He was orphaned early and adopted by his aunt (Anne Robertson) and her husband John Jones.  Somewhere between his 8th and 12th birthday, he was shipped to the USA.  His older brothers, George, Charles, and Walter Percy lived their lives in the Dumfries area.  Any help on this line will be appreciated.
