Yorkshire (West Riding) Completed Requests / 1871 CENSUS LOOKUP
« on: Saturday 08 July 23 14:00 BST (UK)  »
Can someone help me out please. The UK Census Online 1871 for Yorkshire lists the following person who I believe is the one I am seeking. JOHN THOMPSON, B,1825. Occ, Boiler Maker.
I am a subscriber to Ancestry and Find My Past and having searched both these cannot locate this particular individual.
Is there a fellow RootsChatter who may be able to assist.
Many thanks.

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Ambler Thorn Methodist Burial Ground
« on: Tuesday 17 January 23 16:08 GMT (UK)  »
This is my problem. I have a death certificate for one Isaac Saville whose death is recorded as January 11, 1875. He was a Methodist, so I downloaded the burial records for the Queensbury Ambler Thorn Methodist Burial Ground from the Calderdale Archives. These are not showing the original entries but the details have been taken from them. The burial of the said Isaac Saville is listed as January 10, 1875. Not possible as he was still alive on that date.
Contacted the Calderdale Archives and asked if they could check the original entry and confirm the date of death for me only to be informed it would cost £22. Yes £22 pounds.
So I not only paid for the download which could have had an error when copied they want another £22 to re-check.
I am wondering is there anyone out there who possibly possesses the records for the Methodist Burial Ground, on microfiche or in book form who can help.
Many thanks for any assists.

There is no rush for this but if there is a kind person who could spare the time I would be very grateful.

Can someone do me a great favour? I would very much love to have a photograph of my Aunty and Uncles headstone which is in the cemetery of St Michaels Church, Linton, Church Road, Grassington.
The names on the headstone are GILBERT SMITH, 1911-1993 and SARAH,(SALLY) SMITH, 1912-1999.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Bradford Newspaper Lookup please 1924
« on: Wednesday 17 July 19 17:34 BST (UK)  »
Help wanted. Is there anyone who could take a look in the newspaper covering Bradford for any possible mention of a burial location for a family member of mine.
MARY ANN SMITH, Died January 8,1924. Widow of TOM SMITH, wire drawer.
Address at death, AIREDALE COLLEGE TERRACE, BRADFORD.
I have so far been unsuccessful in obtaining the necessary information from sources available online and due to the very high cost of a search required by Bradford council I am appealing to fellow RootsChat enthusiasts to see if they can resolve my enquiry.
Many thanks.

I know the Heart of England Crematorium covering the Nuneaton area opened in 1995, but where were they carried out prior to that date. I am seeking a crematorium certificate for my Grandmother who passed in Nuneaton in 1971. Who would I need to contact for the details. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.
