Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Requests / Richard Jeffels - hiding no doubt!
« on: Friday 20 March 09 10:01 GMT (UK)  »

I am trying to find the death of Richard Jeffels, this is what i know of him

Richard Jeffels born Danby 1846, I have him in all census 1851-1881 in Danby, 1891 in Wilton and 1901 in Whorlton, Swainby all North Yorks.  His wife dies in 1905 at Scugdale, near Swainby and is taken back to Danby to be buried, Danby church has the parish records in the church  ;D

I cannot find a death for Richard anywhere  :( and I know he is alive in may 1901 as he is present at his daughter's wedding (my great grandmother)

Any help would be great, thanks in advance

I am going to Danby on Wednesday of this week, if anybody needs a picture of a grave.  I am taking my mum, we are hoping to finish one side of the family off  :D  so please let me know, and I will do what I can

Completed Yorkshire (North Riding) Look up Requests / Hiser....COMPLETED WITH THANKS
« on: Monday 20 October 08 17:17 BST (UK)  »

I am trying to help someone with a start on their family tree

By chance, I found a gravestone in Linthorpe Cemetery today with the family name Hiser, it lists three children and both parents.

So in 1881 I find the family Frederick Hiser in Middlesbrough with his wife Susannah and family, listed also are John Milber and Peter Milber as two son in laws  ::) aged 12 and 10 RG 11 4853 72 22
1891 RG 12 4009 36 23, Frederick and Susannah are together, Frederick Hiser dies 1899 in Middlesbrough, 1901 Susannah is with another son Charles.
On the 1871 I can see Susannah Melbor with husband Fred and two children John 2 and Peter 4 months RG 10 4891 90 27,  so I am right in thinking Susannah married twice and both times to a Frederick, one a Mellor/Melbur/Milber and then a second time to a Frederick Hiser???

On Middlesbrough Indexes I see a marriage for Frederick Hiser to Susannah Mellor, but I cannot see a Melbor/Meller marriage anywhere, I think I have looked too long.

If anyone can help with this problem or throw some light on to it I would be very grateful.

Am I reading it correctly or barking up the wrong family tree  :)

Many thanks for reading

Ok so I know I am blonde  ::) but I am trying to tie a few loose ends up with my Bollands family.

In 1881 I have James and Elizabeth Bollands - transcribed as Bolland living at 24 Davison Street, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough with a large family

One of their sons Thomas William born 1872 in Middlesbrough seems to be missing in later census, can anyone please see him, I have tried everything and zilch  :(
