Canada Lookup Request / My Old Penfriend

I had a penfriend in1958 and was last in touch with her in the late 60's.
We lost touch after I moved house and I found her address again when sorting through some old files.

One of those cases when life got in the way and as we get old and cast our minds back to "I wonder what happened to.........."

How can I find her again to see how life has treated her?

Her last address was West 29th Vancover 8 B.C.

Lillian Smith b London England married

?? and moved to South Africa. One child was called Alex/ Alec. It is believed they had a farm or small holding in South Africa.
Lillian came to Birmingham England to see her sister ALICE JEMIMA HERBERT nee Smith in the 1950's. Alice married in 1890 at St Saviour London to HORACE HERBERT
Vague I know but the dreaded Smith name has only just come up in this family and I am finding it hard.

Can someone help pleeeeease? A shot in the dark I know

Hi,I have hit that inevitable brick wall.

For a long time I have been looking for the parents of PHILIP HERBERT believed to be born at STANWAY GLOS.

I have his marriage to ANN WHILLOCK on 26/02/1759.

I think PHILIP was born about 1735-1737 but I can't be certain.

He died about 1801 and is said to be buried in STANWAY.

I have looked and searched for his birth but to no avail.

I'm flummoxed as to where to go to next

Maybe a fresh pair of eyes and a keener brain than I have got can find
my missing man

Cornwall / John JONES 1841 census

I have JOHN JONES age 25 his wife MARY age 25 and child RICHARD age 1
along with his mother-in-law, ANN FREY age 65 living at KNAVEGOBY Cornwall in the 1841 census.

But...........they go missing after that........no sign of them over the next few years until RICHARD marries MARY JANE JONES in 1864 but no sign of JOHN at all.

One of the wittinesses for RICHARD is JOSEPH JONES (his Grandfather maybe?)

The question is where were the family between 1841 and RICHARD's marriage?

I am helping a dear friend to solve this "problem" can you help us please? We would be very grateful and my friend would be so happy

Australia Lookups completed / John JONES - Transported to Van Diemans Land 1841

I am looking for JOHN JONES convicted at BODMIN GAOL CORNWALL ENGLAND and sentenced to 7 years and transported to Van Diemans Land 13 November 1841 on the ship SOMERSETSHIRE.

Also JOHN JONES convicted at BODMIN GAOL 21 January 1844 transported to VDL 15 May 1844 on the ship LONDON

I would like to know of what they were convicted and did their families go with them,
if so, what were their wives and childrens names and did they ever return to England?

I am trying to eliminate or confirm the JOHN JONES from a friends family tree.

Are you able to help please? I would be very grateful if you can. Thank you,

Can a look up please be done re:

RICHARD HENRY JONES b. Gwinear Cornwall England 1865 d, Johannesburg 1909.

I believe he left Cornwall before 1881 as he is missing on that Census.

In 1891 he wife states that he was abroad.

I am trying to find out why he was abroad and is this RICHARD the one I am looking for

My Grandfather was JAMES HENRY BOTT b.1881 in Birmingham England and married GERTRUDE ETHEL QUINCEY in1910. His Father was FRANK THOMAS BOTT b. 1861. How can I find the siblings of FRANK THOMAS BOTT and how can I trace their descendent's?
I didn't know my BOTT side as my Father son of JAMES and GERTRUDE BOTT died 2 months before I was born.
I would really love to trace the family descendent's and maybe they will have old photos of the family.

Thanks to shellesq I have the Colorado infomation of JOSEPH HENRY JONES b. Cornwall England 1858 who emigrated to there in 1888 followed by his family in 1890. My question now is ........how can I move forward to find his descendants? I am doing this for some friends who would dearly love contact with their distant "cousin Jacks"

Canada / Joseph Hery Jones on MEGANTIC 1924

Hi, I am looking for JOSEPH HENRY JONES who sailed/arrived to Canada on the MEGANTIC in JULY 1924 but I can not find a passenger list for the MEGANTIC.

He stayed in Canada for 6 years before returning to CORNWALL ENGLAND

He was aged 22 years old.

Is there anyway of knowing who he was going to stay with in Canada ? Or can Iview the passenger list?

I would be very grateful for any help you may give please, as I am doing this for a friend who does not understand computors or how they work.
