Scotland / Sir Ralph Abercromby (1734-1801)urrently trying to locate any decendants

Good Morning to All,

I am currently trying to locate any descendant's of Sir Ralph Abercromby born at Menstrie, Clackmamanshire in 1734. Abercromby was Commander of British Forces at the Battle of Alexandria and was wounded on the 21st March 1801. He died of his wounds on board HMS Foudroyant on the 28th. He was brought to Malta and buried within Fort St Elmo, Valletta.
A current Restoration programme is currently being carried out on the Fort and I have been asked to contact any relations living today. Thanks all :)

Hello All,
Can anyone help me on this I have recently visited the grave of a Sir Alexander Ball, Malta's first Governor during the British Rule. The tablet in Latin had at the head a large X with a large P in the middle. Is this a Catholic symbol of some form and can anyone explain its significance. Cheers ???

Hi All, I am trying to find a marriage of George Purdue of St Peter in the East,Oxford to a Ann Charlotte ? She also seems to have been born in Oxfordshire so assume that the were married in the county sometime between 1847-52. George Purdue became a Vicar. Any Help??Cheers :)

Hi Over the Waters, I am trying to locate the name Repington in Canada, I am especially interested in anyone who might have had a connection with a James Repington, Cattle Dealer, living at 131 Ina House, Tredegar Road, Bow. I'm very interested to trace another James Repington 28   who travelled to the United Kingdom in 1915 and gave the same address as Tredegar Road. Although my great great Grandfather of the same name died in early 1915 at the grand old age of 90. I think his son George James Repington may have emigrated to Canada sometime around 1902. Any help? Hi All, I have recently discovered a relative working at the Bell & Shoulder of Mutton Inn, Marlborough in the 1880's. Anyone have any information as to where it was ? I have noticed a number around the country at the time. Were they possibly the first chain of Inns in Britain ? With Interest. Cheers.  :)
