Technical Help / Locked out of my Win 7 desktop after updates
« on: Friday 10 June 16 14:26 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone please help, I plugged in my second tower PC yesterday (Acer Aspire) Windows 7
there were loads of updates there (although it was last updated 2/2016) and it took ages.
Now the problem is since doing these updates is, I am locked out of my machine cannot get
the desktop to log on or use the PC.
 This is what I get:
THE USER PROFILE SERVICE FAILED THE LOGIN
 USER PROFILE CANNOT BE LOADED

 With a box OK
if I click on this OK it just logs off and comes back with:
 My pic in a box
 With Acer underneath it

Ease of access box left Switch off box right
 At the bottom of page

Bearing in mind that the Win 7 PC is not up and running and I have to disconnect this
Win 10 PC and install the Win 7 to make any changes, any help to resolve this will be much
 appreciated.
 Many thanks Peter.

Technical Help / Windows 7 update problems
« on: Friday 01 April 16 08:28 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
I have just purchased a S/H laptop and setting it all up etc to my liking I have found there are 210 Windows updates !!!
I spent all day yesterday and only managed to install 3 leaving 207 to go which is running now, and is going to take forever.
When you see all the updates listed you have all of the boxes ticked for you, if I untick them and say select just a few to install say 7 would the remaining 200 still be there to come back to and do a few at a time or would they disappear.
SO WOULD THE REMAINDER STILL COME UP FOR ME.
Many thanks.

Technical Help / Ccleaner duplicate finder
« on: Wednesday 23 March 16 13:06 GMT (UK)  »
I have recently downloaded Win 10, and called up Ccleaner and searched duplicate finder
WOW I was amazed to find there are duplicates galore there and I have only very recently
installed it.
There are loads and loads and loads some are dated before I had Win 10, they all look like
system/program type files folders etc, and none are my own files or folders.
I can see how to delete these duplicates by ticking the boxes, but what I would like to know is
would it be safe to do this and would it upset the PC in any way and would I lose anything important
to affect the running of the PC.
Many thanks.
Peter.
