Lancashire Lookup Requests / Toxteth Work House WAINWRIGHT 1919

Greetings from Australia.

I am looking for information about BESSIE WAINWRIGHT (DOB unknown) who was reported to be in a "workhouse type establishment" in Toxteth in August 1919 when her three-year-old son JAMES WAINWRIGHT was adopted out. James was born on 26.7.1916 in Toxteth to Bessie and father unknown.

Any information regarding Bessie - date/place of birth etc would be much appreciated.

Greetings, I am trying to access

Cases Decided in the Court of Session, and Also in the Court of Justiciary and House of Lords, Volume 9
Scottish Council of Law Reporting, 1882

specifically pages 798 - 800 and a case reported there regarding "George Scott's Trustees"

Anyone able to help or steer me in the right direction. I am in Australia so currently unable to visit any Scottish archives.

Here is what hopefully is the baptism record of my GGGG grandfather George Scott, baptised/born circa 1st June 1801 in George Town, Penang/Pinang. Also known as Prince of Wales Island.

It's been a very, very long wait to get a scan of this record and I am hoping to find out more about George's parents to break through to the next generation of ancestors.

I have sourced a photo of my ggg grandmother Margaret Thomson Scott's grave which is marked 1900 but I am unable to find her exact date of death so that I can order her death certificate.

Greetings, I am trying to find out more about Julia Duffy and Patrick "Pat" Smyth who are listed in Aughaderry "Aghaderry" on the 1911 census. Julia's mother Anne is listed there too.

Hoping to find Julia and Pat's parents names, and further children that we know were born to Julia and Pat.

Ancestry is not giving me any further info.

Australia / Death by fire - Llewellyn "Lyn" RICHARDS

Greetings Rootschatters - hoping someone can help solve a mystery.

Llewellyn "Lyn" Vance Richards was born 1946 in Melbourne and last appears on the 1968 electoral roll as Lyn Vance Richards. I can't find any trace of him after this despite extensive Ancestry searches.

His father Ivor and mother Winsome Jean died in the 1970s.

The family myth is that Lyn died in a bushfire related accident circa 1985 (

)

BDM Vic cuts off in 1985, and he is not one of the Llewellyn Richards listed prior to that.

Any clues or pointers most welcomed.

South Africa / Charles Henry Smith of Cape Town

Greetings I am looking for Charles Henry Smith and his wife Annie Maberly Barclay who lived in Cape Town.

Charles was born in England in 1863 but died in South Africa in 1931.

I don't know anything about Annie at the moment.
