John Evans (Brewer) m Elizabeth Ellis in Wrexham 1846. Her father John Ellis.
They lived mainly at 18 Bridge Street.

So how come according to the GRO digital online copies of their five children's births, the mother's former name was Eddowes?

The five children are Mary, John, Richard, Rose Anna and Charles born 1847, 1850, 1852, 1855, 1858 respectively.

Any info please from residents or possible relatives of Evan Evans c 1776 of Llanerfyl who married Jane Davies in September 1800 in Llanerfyl. It is my belief that Evan was a butcher or a farmer/butcher.

Hello. Is there anyone who could locate and take pictures of a grave for me please? It is the grave of John and Elizabeth Barker. John died in 1868 and his wife in 1875. If there are other Barkers nearby then I would appreciate these too. Thanks in anticipation.

Denbighshire / Ellis family Morton, Ruabon, Wrexham

Any information or padding out of the above family would be appreciated. I start with John Ellis c1799 but I have info for him as a shopkeeper, coal master, farmer and agricultural labourer. Strikes me he couldn't have been all of those.

His wife was Elizabeth Davies c 1797 and I have four children recorded for them, Elizabeth b 1823, Christiana b1826, Edward Davies Ellis b 1831 and Joseph Henry b 1840 all in the Morton, Ruabon area.
