Hi
I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers with discovering the correct burial record for my G-Grandfather.  I have found 2 different records with the same name and age(68) but with two different dates - 26 June 1844 and 14 August 1845. Are there any sites where I could distinguish which is the correct entry.
Any help with this would be gratefully received.

Somerset Lookup Requests / Marriage of Henry Woodman and Christian
« on: Sunday 21 March 21 19:15 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction to try and find a marriage record for my 6x Great Grandfather Henry Woodman. The only name I have for my 6x Great Grandmother is Christian- which seems a very strange name. I do not know when Henry was born but he died in august 1753.
He was a Quaker and with the only records I have to go on being the birth of their 3 children Job(born 1714), William born 1715 and Jane born 1717, and a record of his death and burial in 1753.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Staffordshire / Dinah Doughty b 1821
« on: Saturday 16 January 21 18:20 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
Don't know if anyone will be able to help me with a puzzle in my family history,
In the 1901 census for my Great Grandfather Thomas Doughty born 1849 In Bishops Tachbrook and his wife Mary Ann (Nee Pickerill (Or Pickering) there is a person listed as Aunt and she was single.
Her name was Dinah Doughty born Birch Hill, Staffordshire c1821. I had not had any mention of this person on any other census listing. Really is puzzling me. Hopefully someone may be able to enlighten me as to who this person might be.

Hi
I am trying to find out more about the husband of my auntie.
My auntie emigrated to Canada in september 1929, She married at some point once she was in Canada. The person she married was called William Crawford born 1886 in Glasgow Scotland.
I do not know much about Williambut obviously he emigrated to Canada at some point,  and just wondered if there was anyone who could shed some light on William for me. They lived in Toronto after they were married I believe.
Any information would be gratefully received.

Lincolnshire / Elizabeth Cook parents
« on: Sunday 14 July 19 13:20 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Not sure if anyone can help me with a brickwall in my family.
My G-G Grandmother Elizabeth Cook was born in Boston in Lincolnshire in 1792/3. I am trying to find her parents but it is a little difficult as all that I have to go on is a record from her baptism in Boston in February 1793 where her parents are just listed as Wm Cook and Mary. Obviously without a birth year for either of them I cannot get much further.
I am hoping that some kind person out there will be able to help me with this.

Warwickshire / Brickwall Emma Ashton nee Barwell
« on: Tuesday 08 August 17 20:19 BST (UK)  »
I have recently come back to my family history research. I do not think I have posted about this brickwall before but if I have i apologise.
I am still having trouble with locating what happened to my Great grandfathers first wife, Emma.
She was born Emma Barwell c 1838 in Essex. She married my g-grandfather Thomas Ashton in the 1850s and they had several children.
The problem I have come up against is the fact that my g grandfather married again in 1873 to my g-grandmother Catherine Benson, a widow. I cannot trace any record of either a re marriage or a death for Emma Ashton.  I was wondering if anyone could give me any idea of where i could look to try to solve this mystery.

Gloucestershire / Tewkesbury Register newspaper
« on: Monday 02 January 17 14:48 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I wonder if anyone could help me with a query. I am researching my husbands family and I have found an article online which mentions his Grandfather Matthew John White. In the article it mentions that he wrote letters  back to Tewkesbury from the front in World War One. These were as far as I can gather printed in the paper The Tewkesbury Register. The article mentioned that he provided the first detailed account of the Retreat from Mons in August 1914. Although it didnt appear in the paper until 7th November that year.
I wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction as to how I might find out how to access the record of this.
I live too far from Tewkesbury to go in person.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Angelgirl.
