Hello all,
I've been doing some research into my family tree and found my great great grandfather was married in Portglasgow in 1884. He was orginally from Co. londonderry, Ireland(as it would have been then), but seemed to have moved to Scotland. After his marriage and the birth of his first son he moved back to Ireland and had further children one of whom was my greatgrandfather.
The problem I have at the moment is that I can't find any record of his death or any mention in the 1911 census of Ireland and his youngest children are living with older siblings.
I've been toying with the idea he maybe went back to Scotland with his wife Margaret. I've done a search of Scotlands 1911 Census and found a William Campbell of the right age (50) living near Bridge of Weir, Renfrew which I think is near Portglasgow. I know it's a long shot but could it be a possible match.
Now here's were I have to do a bit of begging, I've only 2 credits left on Scotlands people and don't really whant to have to buy another 30 which I probably won't need again, so if anyone is in a similar position with 5 credits I'd be most grateful.
Regards,
Brncam
