« on: Saturday 07 January 12 17:42 GMT (UK)  »
Hello everyone and happy new year.
I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place but I'm hoping for some help in transcribing the name in the attached image. All educated guesses welcome. The only clue, it's a mans Christian name.

Does anyone no what records there are for Presbyterian Church in Tamlaghtard. I'm looking for a marriage of Thomas McCarron to Margaret McLaughlin around 1859 or any mention of an Eliza or Elizabeth.

Renfrewshire / William Campbell 1911 census
« on: Saturday 21 May 11 19:09 BST (UK)  »
Hello all,
I've been doing some research into my family tree and found my great great grandfather was married in Portglasgow in 1884. He was orginally from Co. londonderry, Ireland(as it would have been then), but seemed to have moved to Scotland. After his marriage and the birth of his first son he moved back to Ireland and had further children one of whom was my greatgrandfather.
The problem I have at the moment is that I can't find any record of his death or any mention in the 1911 census of Ireland and his youngest children are living with older siblings.
I've been toying with the idea he maybe went back to Scotland with his wife Margaret. I've done a search of Scotlands 1911 Census and found a William Campbell of the right age (50) living near Bridge of Weir, Renfrew which I think is near Portglasgow. I know it's a long shot but could it be a possible match.
Now here's were I have to do a bit of begging, I've only 2 credits left on Scotlands people and don't really whant to have to buy another 30 which I probably won't need again, so if anyone is in a similar position with 5 credits I'd be most grateful.

« on: Wednesday 29 December 10 20:34 GMT (UK)  »
Hello All,
I'm hoping to get some info on a John Campbell born around 1870 in the parish of Dunboe. I think I found him in the 1901 census married to a woman called Jane. They are listed as Church of Ireland. Any help appreciated.

Derry (Londonderry) / IGI files
« on: Friday 13 August 10 23:34 BST (UK)  »
Hello all,

I was doing a quick search using the IGI site and got a result on someone I was searching for. The record was from 1818, but when I checked my notes I found the Church records held in the local library don't cover that date (1805-1812 then 1825-1826). My question is where was the material on the IGI site sourced from?

Derry (Londonderry) / Doole Portstewart
« on: Wednesday 11 August 10 19:39 BST (UK)  »
Hello all,

I'm hoping to find out something about William Doole born in Portstewart in 1898. I've had a look at the 1901 and 1911 census (where they seem to have spelt Doole as Dool) and I think he served with the Inniskillings during WW1. Does anyone know if William was ever married?

Does anyone know what records are available for Ballykelly COI. I'm trying to trace a couple of famlies that came from the area, Meighans' and Moores.
