« on: Friday 08 December 17 15:58 GMT (UK)  »
Am trying to ascertain the above named family -

Rosina born 1904
Winifred born 1901
Florence born 1911
Edie born 1908

Edie married a R I Nokes and went on to have twin girls, I have found their marriage in 1930 but cannot find any birth for the girls.

Rosina married a F Andrews

Am stuck on the names of the parents, possibly Fred and Rosina as I have found an entry on 1911 census for a family with these names (plus another 3 children)

Any clues greatly appreciated.

Lancashire / Tommy Carroll 1900 Liverpool
« on: Thursday 01 December 16 10:53 GMT (UK)  »
I am searching for any clues to the Carroll family.

What I have is the following:-

Tommy Carroll born around 1900 married a Mary McGlynn in Liverpool in 1924, he died in Liverpool in 1978.  I am trying to trace his parents (I do not have his marriage certificate)   Originally it was thought he was born in London but from enquiries made he may have been in Liverpool.

Tommy would have been my partners grandfather but he has no real information about him.  He thinks that somewhere there is an Irish link but is unsure.

Tommy and Mary had a son Leo who was my partners father.

Any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Am researching my partners family tree and have come across a brick wall.

Thomas Carroll born 1900 London married a Mary McGlynn 1905 - her parents were Thomas H McGlynn and a Juia Brannon but I am really struggling with his parents could anyone point me in the right direction.

Still in the same family - Frederick Andrews born 1900 in London  married a Rosina Robbins 1904 (Wales) - they had three children Sylvia, Joan and Anthony.  Again a brick wall has been hit as to who Rosina's parents were and clues or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Sylvia was my partners mother, she has since died and he is unsure as to whether Joan and Anthony are alive or not.

Look forward to hearing.

I am trying to find the parents of the above named who was born in 1926 and died in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire in  1978.  Leo married a "SRA" and they lived in Willesden.
I am lead to believe that Leo's father was called Tommy and he originated from Ireland, Tommy married a lady called Rose/Mary or Rosemary (a little confused on this).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dorset / St Johns Terrace, Weymouth (now 21 Dorchester Road)
« on: Thursday 14 January 16 09:14 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I have a friend who has recently moved into a flat at 21 Dorchester Road, Weymouth, right opposite St Johns Church.  I am trying to find out when these properties where built and what this property was before it was turned into flats, it has very high ceilings and ornate plasterwork.  Many of the walls are now "stud walls" where the property has been turned into flats.

I have found out that the row of properties was called St Johns Terrace but have now hit a brick wall, I have had a quick look on the 1901 Census for this area but nothing shows for St Johns Terrace.

Can someone point me in the right direction

Many thanks

Sarah

Have just received death and marriage certificate for the above named who was a great uncle of mine. On the marriage certificate he says he was a canteen assistant HMS St Vincent and on death certificate it says he was a Petty Officer in Royal Navy retired how do I find about his naval career?  He was married at St Paul's Church in Weymouth in 1915 and died in Weymouth and District Hospital in 1973.

Dorset / Help with 1911 Census
« on: Saturday 15 June 13 13:14 BST (UK)  »
I wonder is anyone can point me in the right direction.  I have been looking at the 1911 census for my late grandfather Robert Edmund Thompson.  The census shows that he was one of four children born to Seth and Mary Thompson.  The only other child I have come across is an older sister Evelyn May born in 1903.  How do I go about tracking down information about the two children who died.

Any help would be appreciated.  The family lived on Portland in Dorset.

Norfolk / Caroline Budden married in Norfolk
« on: Tuesday 13 March 12 18:17 GMT (UK)  »

I am having trouble with a member of the family.  Caroline Budden born 1830 in Dorset, daughter of John and Elizabeth.

Am trying to find out who she married and when, one hint I have been given is that she married a man called John Faulcher b 1826 in Norfolk.  I am lead to believe they had a son George and Hannah.  It is thought they lived some of their life in Northern France and in Italy.

Any help in confirming they were married and that they had the two children would be great.
