Oxfordshire / Barnes family - Milton/Fifield areas

I am hoping someone might be up for a challenge!! I am searching for an unknown grandfather and have several dna links to the family of John Barnes 1806 & Sarah Jackson 1811 from Milton under Wychwood.

I also have some dna links to another Barnes family but have been unable to connect the two families. The links are in New Zealand and I have connected these to Charles Barnes b. 1860 in Chipping Norton who emigrated and married in NZ in 1882.

Charles was the son of Thomas Barnes b. 1831 and Ann Mary Slatter from Fifield.
Thomas was the son of William Barnes b. 1803 and Sarah Castle also Fifield.

I have been looking at this for so long, I am probably missing something obvious, so would really appreciate any thoughts and suggestions!

I would really appreciate some help with this family! I have John Cowling 1799-1876 married to Rachel Franks 1804-1852. They have 6 children

Mary COWLING    Baptism    02 Sep 1830    Yorkshire, East Riding
George COWLING Baptism 29 Dec 1832 Yorkshire, East Riding
William COWLING    Baptism    03 Mar 1835    Yorkshire, East Riding
John Franks COWLING    Baptism    26 Jan 1837    Yorkshire, East Riding
Jane COWLING    Baptism    12 Mar 1840    Yorkshire, East Riding

I am trying to trace them through the Census.
1841 William is missing
1851 Only Hannah at home

Rachel died in 1851 and John remarried Sarah Hood in 1855

1861 there is a Mark W (son) Who is he?
John F is back home and there is a Charlotte (daughter) and Emily (granddaughter)
Can't find a marriage for a John and Charlotte

1871 there is a Mary Jane Twiddle (niece) and William Hood (brother in law)

I have not been able to find the original 6 children in later census, apart from the above.

I'm sure I have missed something very obvious but appreciate any suggestions please!

Technical Help / Photo Storage

Hi

Looking for some thoughts/advice on where to store several thousand photos please. Have been using iCloud but getting a message that it is almost full, and don't really want to pay them for more! Thinking of buying an external drive but like the idea of cloud storage to be able to see photos on various devices.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask! I have hundreds of photos on iPhone and laptop. My free iCloud storage is almost full and I am trying to find the best way of storing and organising photos.

Any help would be appreciated.

Lincolnshire / Finding Grandmother after 1911

Mary Frances Mosedale born Netherfield, Notts 1887, died Lincoln 1968

I know she was in service in 1911 at Mulgrave Castle North Yorks. She was unmarried when she gave birth in 1920 to my father, who was brought up by her parents.

By chance,I have found her today in the Bracebridge electoral roll (Spring 1922) with her Aunt's husband, but not the Aunt! However Alfred and Clara Leeson (aunt & uncle) are together on the Autumn 1921 and Spring 1923 electoral rolls.

So 2 questions please. Is there anywhere I might find Mary Frances between 1911 and 1921 and where was Clara Agnes Leeson in 1922?

Europe / Belgium - Help with birth

This is the first time I have gone beyond the UK, so not sure of the procedure.

I am looking for the birth of Albert Roos. I have found his death in the UK and his dob is given as 26 August 1885.

I would appreciate help or advice please.

Lincolnshire / Where was Joseph F Wright in 1911?

Joseph Freer Wright was born 1887 in Alkborough, Lincolnshire. I have him in 1891 and 1901 but cannot find any trace in 1911. He was injured in France in 1915 and died in Feb 1917

I found the following report -
A verdict of "Death from natural causes, accelerated by privations and unsuitable food whilst a prisoner of war in Germany," was returned at an inquest at Preston, on Thursday, on Joseph Freer Wright (29), a private in the Lincoln Regiment, who died at Moor Park Military Hospital on Tuesday. Wright was formerly a butler to the late Mr. Yerburgh, M.P. for Chester

I'm guessing he was probably in service in 1911, possibly not to the above.

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated please.

I would appreciate some local knowledge please! I am researching my Grandad's brother, Joseph Freer Wright, who died 100 years ago this month. I have found the following -
"Coventry Evening Telegraph 23 February 1917",
"Privations of a Prisoner of War In Germany"
A verdict of "Death from natural causes, accelerated by privations and unsuitable food whilst a prisoner of war in Germany," was returned at an inquest at Preston, on Thursday, on Joseph Fred [sic] Wright (29), a private in the Lincoln Regiment, who died at Moor Park Military Hospital on Tuesday. Wright, who was formerly a butler to the late Mr. Yerburgh, M.P. for Chester, at Blanksby Hall, Chester, was taken prisoner, slightly wounded, at Loos, and had been in Germany nine months before he was sent to Switzerland, where he arrived terribly emaciated.

I have searched for information on Blanksby Hall, but cannot find any mention of it. Does anyone have any ideas please?
