This person, H. Lindall, described as British on a ship manifest with his birth year as 1881 and with the occupation of plasterer sounds very much very much like my long elusive grandfather Albert Clarence Lindale. The H could be Harry which was a nick name he was known as by his friends and family.

The ship he arrived in Auckland  on apparently as an assisted immigrant  was the Victoria which sailed from Sydney arriving in Auckland on 1st November 1905 - two and a half years before the marriage of Albert Clarence Lindale.

This information has come from Family Search shipping records for New Zealand

What was his history prior to his arrival her in NZ? Any ideas?

 I believe I may have found the date of birth of my grandfather who seems to have changed his name.

Can birth records for NSW be rearched for a specific date detailing all born on that date?

Armagh / Susannah Miskelly - born Belfast c1851

My paternal great grandmother Susannah Miskelly born in Belfast 1851 -1853 emigrated to New Zealand in 1869 arriving with a sister or perhaps a cousin Margaret Miskelly in June 1869.

She married Thomas Viner CRUNDWELL in Wellington, NZ in 1872 and signed her marriage document with an "X". She stated that her father was Owen Miskelly and her mother Rose McGreevy (or McGrevey).

I have been unable to verify any information about Susannah or her parents.

Could any kind Belfast based Rootschatter help me uncover any information leading to this brickwall being kicked down. It would be very very much appreciated.

I am seeking information about my great grandmother Margaret Ellen BYRNE born in Kingstown on 23 March 1856. Her marriage certificate shows her parents as Patrick and Bridget.

I have been unable to trace her birth or any information on her parents.

In 1877 Margaret married George Denby MYERS in Bradford, Yorks, UK and both and their children migrated to New Zealand in 1898.

Any help in locating information on Margaret and her parents would be most greatfully appreciated.

Are there searchable records of pensions paid to old age beneficiaries? Do the original applications for pensions show birth dates and places of of birth?

My great grandmother's second husband John Morris Whitmore CHRESTENSEN claimed in his marriage document to have been born in South Africa c1859 the son of Thorval CHRESTENSEN (b c1835) and Louisa Whitmore (b c1837)

Are there birth records of John's birth and of the marriage of Thorval and Louisa available for searching?

I am still searching for the actual birth date of my grandfather - what type of records would an individual living in New Zealand from c1900 be required to divulge a date of birth. And are any of these searchable?
