London and Middlesex / Anne Jane Brooks
« on: Monday 25 February 19 17:51 GMT (UK)  »
I am searching info on above and all I have on her is her marriage to Thomas Henry Pace in 1919 St Luke West Norwood. In it a Samuel Brooks is her father and is a coachman. She dies in 1961 and seems was born in 1891.
Samuel Brooks another Sam Brooks maybe or the same one marries in 1889 Emma Mary Barker and they have 3 children 2 boys and a girl, the little girl Emma Violet dies. This is recorded in the 1911, 3 children 2 alive 1 dead. So please can someone help me figure where Anna Jane fits in this family if at all. I also have found an Emma Brooks in the workhouse for 3 weeks in 1909. I cannot find a birth for Anne Jane brooks with a Samuel as a father in the London area.
Quite complicated. I'd be grateful for help
thank you

FH Documents and Artefacts / adoption records
« on: Saturday 03 December 16 19:47 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, I am tracing the family of Alfred James Bickerton b 1887 either Darlington Durham or Wakefield. He seems to change his mind a bit. I have him I think in the 91 with Parents Edward and Annie and siblings Later that year and in 94 the siblings die. I think at this time he was adopted by Patrick and Marg Brennan of Ireland living in Batley Yorkshire. He is in the 01 in Batley adopted. His present day family are confused as he always said he came from Ireland, but I cannot find him there. So I want to find when he was adopted by the Brennans. In 1909 he married Miriam Grayson.
Thank you for any help
all the best

Kent / Death records Index
« on: Thursday 13 March 14 12:43 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, Can mistakes be made on the Death Index?

I have a John T Butterfield marrying Margaret Hall in Canterbury in 1921.

In 1973 a Margaret Butterfield dies in Canterbury. Her birth being given as 14/6/1901.

She was called Maggie by her family and there is a Maggie Eliz Hall b 1901 but in the Jan q in Eynesford. On A* there is a family tree that takes this Eynsford Maggie E Hall as the one who marries John T Butterfield.

I have sent for the marr cert so in time will find who her father was.

But has anyone come across mistakes on the dates on Death Indexes?

Silly question I know and I should be more patient but...

Thank you for your time
