United States of America / The Wife of Samuel D. Wilder - New York
« on: Saturday 19 April 14 08:08 BST (UK)  »
My great-great grandfather, Samuel D. Wilder, was married to a woman named Lavina.  She was born about 1805 in Orange County, New York.  They had 5 children, that I know of, including my great grandfather, Charles Edward Wilder, who was born in 1841 in Rockwood, Fulton, NY.
Other than her approximate year and location of birth, I've found nothing else about Lavina, and I'm hoping someone out there who may be a descendant can help me find out who she and her family was and where they came from.

If anyone is planning a trip to the archives in Auckland anytime soon, would you be able to look up this record for me and find out if any surviving children are named?

Thank you in advance!

I want to edit my list of surname interests; I've clicked on Modify Profile, but can find no option to do this.  Help?  :D

Yes, I know...with the surname Smith, I'm already at a disadvantage, but I have to try. :)

Noni Ellen Mangan married Robert Leslie Smith in 1940, they lived in Wellington and had five sons before they divorced around 1948 (RL Smith moved to Hamilton and remarried in 1949).
Their oldest son, Michael Leslie, was killed in 1960 in a motorcycle accident.  Michael had four younger brothers and I would love to locate them or their descendants.

Noni passed away in 1977 in Nelson where she is buried with her son, Michael.  It's been impossible to trace the other sons with such a common surname, so they could be anywhere at this point.  Of course, by now they'd all be in their late 60's and early 70's.

Any help or suggestions would be welcome. :)
