Hi Everyone,
I am hoping that someone may be able to shed some light on a major problem l have of finding a death for a "James Mather Milne Henderson", he was still alive in July 1899 at the death of his wife Elizabeth Malcolm Henderson nee Mackenzie, McKenzie as he was the informant on her death certificate. But after this he seems to have diminished into thin air. His occupation is a Plumber.
He had 4 children, James McKenzie Henderson born 1883 Aberdeen Scotland, William Gordon born 1891 Aberdeen Scotland, Jane Simpson Henderson born 1893 London, Charles Phillip Henderson born 1897 London. James McKenzie lived in Aberdeen with his maternal grandparents and Jane Simpson is also there in 1901 census, but there's a family story there as to how she got there. the other two boys are with the SIMPSON family and the census records are recorded as adopted William Gordon is not in the 1901 census but is there in 1911 census with his brother Charles Philip.
James marries as "James Mather Henderson in 1892 London to Elizabeth Malcolm Mackenzie.
He joined the navy in 1885 and signed up for 12 years, but what l believe he bought his way out in 1891, and that's all the record showed.
So why are the boys adopted and where is there father James?
I would love if some one could help me find a death for James, and thank you all for any assistance that you can offer.
Kind regards
