Lanarkshire / Help with Coatbridge death registers and cemetery
« on: Tuesday 08 August 06 19:12 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace the graves of some long lost relatives.
I am firstly looking for evidence of the death of William Entwistle, born in Workington
Cumbria Jan 6th 1876. I know he lived in Coatbridge after 1901 and I am guessing he died there as I have no record of him leaving. I have been onto scotlandspeople.gov.uk and searched and searched. His death is not listed so I can only assume that he was still alive in 1955 when the
online records finish. He would have been 79 if he was alive in 1955. Does anyone have access to the registers who could have a look for me? I live a long way away. I can't believe he would have lived to be much older than 79 so it should not take much searching.
Secondly, the other thing I was wondering if is anyone knows of a register for Coatbridge cemetery as he would probably be in there. I am keen to locate his grave and the graves of the other family members who lived and died in Coatbridge.
Joseph Entwistle died aged 54 June 22nd 1910
William Entwistle died aged 23 July 17th 1921
Janet Entwistle died aged 3 months July 31st 1921
Thomas Entwistle died aged 59 Oct 26th 1923
Mary Rutherford died aged 28 Aug 31st 1927
Janet Entwistle (formerly Hurley from 1st marriage) died aged 72 Dec 25th 1930
Thomas Hurley or Rutherford died aged 9 years Sep 7th 1932
Alexander Henderson Rutherford died aged 42 Mar 30 1938
Thanks for your time,
