Durham Lookup Requests / Memorial Inscriptions at Craghead Co Durham
« on: Thursday 11 January 18 10:14 GMT (UK)  »
I believed I had seen a reference to Memorial Inscriptions at Craghead in Co Durham somewhere here but now can't find that message.  Is there anyone that can point me to MIs at Craghead (I regret I cannot get to Durham on the Mon - Wed that the Archives are open).

I'm hopeful that someone going to Beverley would be kind enough to look up a marriage for me.

I'm trying to establish the details for JOSEPH HEMINGWAY who married in Howden sometime in the Dec Qtr 1862.  I'm fairly sure it was to Mary Richardson, but it is the detail that I am in need of.  I believe that Joseph was illegitimate and as much info from the marriage could help ensure that I trace the right Joseph.

Thank you.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Addingford Road - An street in Dewsbury in 1891?
« on: Wednesday 24 July 13 17:13 BST (UK)  »
Is there with some detailed knowledge of streets in Dewsbury in and around 1891?  I have a reference to Addingford Road, Dewsbury but cannot find it on the census as yet so am thinking there is a typo in the road name.

Has anyone any suggestions please?

Westmorland Lookup Requests / Kendal marriage lookup 1836
« on: Monday 26 October 09 12:57 GMT (UK)  »
I have the marriage for George Hem(m)ingway and Margaret Askew which I am sure took place 19 May 1836.  The marriage is recorded in the IGI but I am unable to identify which George Hem(m)ingway this is.  Whilst it may be a long shot, is there anyone going to the archives that could possibly look up this marriage in the registers which might just have a little more detail please?

George Hem(m)ingway & Margaret Askew 19 May 1836, Kendal

George and his wife moved to Yorkshire and brought up five of their children in and around Dewsbury which is where George is apparently from.  The snag is there are three potential George Hemingways in the area.  The Kendal marriage registers might just have a little more detail.  (If only he married after July 1837!)
