Norfolk Lookup Requests / Ethel Frances Carr 1877-1957?
« on: Saturday 18 February 23 10:55 GMT (UK)  »
Hello, I am hoping someone could possibly help me?

I am looking for the burial place of Ethel Frances Carr 1957 in the Norwich Outer District.

Ethel was born Ethel Frances Yallop on 18 Nov 1877 in Heckingham Workhouse, she was baptised in Hellington on 18th Aug 1878. Daughter of James & Eliz Yallop.

She married Arthur Carr (bap 19th Sept 1869) in Rockland St Mary in 1903 in the Loddon District? ( i dont have exact date or place )

I believe they lived in Hellington until about 1915?   Not sure where she was after this as i can't access the 1921 & 1939 details.

Her husband Arthur died on 26 August 1921 and is buried in Hellington Church.

If anybody can possibly help me i would very much appreciate it?
Many Thanks
Jackie

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Newington Sessions 1899 Look Up Please
« on: Thursday 18 February 21 10:37 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, Could anyone please help me with a look up, i have a descendant who was convicted of fraud at the Newington Sessions on 14th June 1899, he was given 3 years for obtaining and five years for Bigamy, to run consecutively. I wonder if anyone could provide me with any further information and where he might be imprisioned? He's a bit of a wrongan as he's back in prison in 1904 & again in 1911?
I am unable to locate him in the 1901 census, he must be in prison somewhere. He unfortunatley uses several Alias names?
The name he appears to go under the most is George Stanley Crawley born 1869 Walworth,Newington Essex.
His birth name is George Sowden Dille(i)more. He also uses the surnames of Snowden / Dixon/ Brooks/ Hargreaves/ Beresford / Curtis.
When he married his first wife he was George Sowden Dillimore, When he married his bigamy wife he was Stanley Curtis.
I know this is a big ask but after 1924 when theres a wanted article for him in the London Gazette he's disappeared? the wanted article says he's living in South Benfleet.
Any Help would be very much appreciated. Jackie

Norfolk Lookup Requests / Bridewell Alley, Norwich look uo please??
« on: Friday 07 December 18 17:57 GMT (UK)  »
Could anyone help me please, I am trying to find out about present day number 6 Bridewell Alley Norwich. I would like to find out who lived there going back in time and what was the building? I wonder if there’s anyone who could look at the census’s for me to see who was there? The building has just been stripped back and it has revealed some very interesting shields and carvings amongst other things? It is directly opposite what was the prison. The church of St Andrews is at the bottom of the Bridewell Alley.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Best Wishes Jackie
