Hello there,

These pics ... 1. of Peter and Hannah Stringfellow and 2. the Stringfellow family are both looking a bit worse for wear (as you would expect given their age ...... at a guess say 1870-1880) I'm hoping that you guys can enhance/restore them. Bit of a challenge huh? $:-\$ ..... so can you have a go and see what can be done please?

Australia / Mystery of a Marriage Record

Hi folks, I'm hoping someone will be able to help me to help an old friend of mine.

Pete, a fellow researcher, is trying to trace the marriage of a Peter Taylor Stringfellow b. 1826 Preston Brook, Cheshire, UK who travelled to Australia 24.08.1853 on the Herefordshire with Hannah and a boy William John Stringfellow b. 1851 Colwich, Staffordshire.

Pete's brickwall is finding the marriage of Peter and Hannah (believe maiden name to be Missen). We have searched the BMD several times and can find no record of a marriage in England ..... 'others' have these two marrying in UK 6.10.1852 but so far we are unable to find proof of this soooooooo ..... Pete's theory is that Peter and Hannah married in Aus so that would be sometime after 1853.

Can anyone help us pretty please

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Sheffield Marriage Lookup please .....

I have found a marriage record in Sheffield on IGI for THOMAS HENSON and CATHERINE BARNES on 19.02.1816. I would like to know if it is possible to find a copy of this marriage on the Parish Register. I'm stuck on my search for further clues as to where THOMAS was born. Are there any records available that would help me. Would appreciate any help/advice.

Help, can some one settle this dispute ....... when a divorced or widowed woman remarries, whether it be 2nd, 3rd or maybe even 4th time .... does she use her maiden name or her previous married name?

This is my Mum as I have never seen her before!! these pics have been unearthed from my cousins loft, and until yesterday I have never seen a pic of my mother when she was young! I'm so thrilled!! So can this have a bit of your magic?
