Donegal / Burke

Hi all,

I recently recieved my grandparents wedding certificate, on the hope of finding out who my grandma's parents were but unfortunatly they did not attend & so only witnesses were stated. My grandma Kathleen Burke was born in Donegal in 1919, she married in Manchester in 1940 to Ernest Appleton. Their witnesses were a John & Mary Burke. My auntie has informed me that she does recall an aunt & uncle who lived in the next street to them.

Does anyone have any suggestions to where i go from here ?

Hi,
I have been searching for my ggrandfather on the 1901 census. Joseph Henry Whitney b1897 Dudley. It seems that the Whitney's from Dudley are missing from almost all the census', i do have a marriage for him in Manchester in 1921 to Clara Briggs...could it be that the surname is maybe spelt differently? if so i have tried a couple of variations that gets me nowwhere!!

Hampshire & IOW Lookup Requests / Christopher Prangs

Hi,
I am trying to trace the parents of Christopher Prangs b1845 Newport, IOW.
I have been trying to find BMD records also for the Prangs, yet there is not an awful lot to go on.

The earliest birth on record is in 1871 for a John Prangs, who is Christophers son. There is also a death for a Mary Prangs in 1857 Salford, Manchester, but if she is part of this family i can't seem to find anything about her.

Hi, i seem to have hit a brick wall with my Christopher Prangs b1843 in Isle of Wight, Hampshire.....it seems he came to Lancashire around the age of 18/20 & in 1868 married Rose Ann O'neil, but i can't seem to find his parents. I would be very greatful of any information on his parentage, thanks.

Hi, im seeking information on Frank W Hancock b1878 Heywood Manchester. a Frank emigrated to Australia during the early 1900's & he was the son of Eliza Hancock & the stepson of William Dorward so there is the possibility that Frank could have used the Dorward surname while staying in Australia?

? It is also known that many of the Dorwards emigrated also to Australia. Any information will be greatfully recieved, thanks.

Hi,

im looking for the parentage of Thomas Main b1863 in Kildare, Ireland.

He married Annie Hulse my gg grandmothers sister in Manchester in 1886.

He may of had a sister Elizabeth F Main and a brother James, according to the 1901 census they are living in lancashire.

Im looking for brothers and sisters of Mary Ann Bennion b1829/30 in Cheshire possibly Winsford. I know she married William Senior in 1849/50, as i found her on the 1851 census, but i dont have access to the 1841 census. Could someone help me by doing a census look up please,
