Huntingdonshire / Great Staughton marriage 1826
« on: Wednesday 21 February 24 16:24 GMT (UK)  »
Is there anyone out there who can view a copy of the following marriage record?

Date: 8th September 1826. Location: Great Staughton.  Bride and Groom: Sarah Frost and George Hendley (or Henly).

I'm looking for any additional information other than their names.

It appears that this marriage took place in Great Staughton and Cuba on the same day. See attachment.

I'm confused.

The Common Room / Marriage appears to have taken place in England and Cuba.

Is there anyone out there with any idea as to how this could be? See attachment.

These entries must surely relate to the same marriage?

Huntingdonshire / Handley family of Kimbolton and Great Staughton
« on: Sunday 01 January 23 10:11 GMT (UK)  »
I would be most grateful if anyone having the below described family in their ancestry, or can provide information as to what happened to any of the surviving members after the death of Anthony Handley (Hanley) in 1779, could provide details.

Anthony Handley (a gardener) married Esther Foster at Pontefract, Yorkshire, on the 8th October 1769.

Children: Benjamin and George baptised at Kimbolton in 1770 and 1773 respectively. Ann baptised at Great Staughton in 1777.

Anthony buried at Great Staughton in 1779.

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Benjamin Howel - Signature comparison
« on: Monday 03 January 22 14:24 GMT (UK)  »
See attachment. The top Benjamin Howel signature is taken from the Llanfallteg parish register of 1794 (Marriage of Benjamin Howel to Anne John). The four below are taken from the New Moat and Robeston West parish registers (Pembrokeshire, Wales). All signatures date between 1792 and 1820.

Is there anyone out there bold enough to express an opinion as to whether or not these signatures were all made by the same person?

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Sheffield - Beatson/Handley marriage.
« on: Tuesday 12 October 21 10:04 BST (UK)  »
On the 13th April 1795 at St Peter's, Sheffield, Luke Beatson married Ann Handley. Findmypast apparently has an image of the register entry. I don't have an account with FindMyPast. Could someone kindly look at the image and let me know who were the witnesses. I'd like to know who was the bride's father, but I'm guessing this will not have been recorded. Many thanks if someone can provide the answer.

Can anyone enlightened me as to who John married, where, and when?

Produced a number of children with Jane whom, I presume, he was married to

Children:   Charles, born Coal Aston, baptised Dronfield, Derbyshire, 1808 / William, Treeton, 1810 / Thomas, Treeton 1813 / Elizabeth, St Peter's, Sheffield, 1815 / Benjamin, St Peter's, Sheffield, 1818. Possibly John, St Peter's, 1828.

I have been trying for years, but have found nothing.

Can some kind person put me out of my misery and tell me who he married and when.
