Down / McKibbi(e)ns, Dundrum. Ards TT.

Hello

would anyone have information regarding John McKibbin who in 1932 lived at Bath house in Dundrum?

Indeed anything re Bath House or the McKibbin's. Mr McKibbin was next to my grandmother at Ballystockart in 1932 when a car in the Ards TT left the road and struck both of them. He sustained only minor injuries but she died a few days later.

Thanks

David

Hello folks.

This is a press clipping from August 1932 outling the drivers in the Ards TT, Ards, Co Down - an annual racing event.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some more details regrading Mr Moore and his connections to the Isle. I believe he was a publisher.

Thanks

Folks

Has anyone any info on mid to late 1800's mineral works in Birkenhead or can point me in the right direction? (Cashe's maybe or Cash's?)

Would it be better to post on the Liverpool thread?

Thanks

David

Antrim / What is he wearing?
« on: Sunday 25 January 09 22:14 GMT (UK)  »
This is a photograph of my great grandfather John Alexander Brown,a Newry man who moved to Ballymacarrett about 1912.

I was wondering why he was dressed the way he is - is it the poor house uniform or the hospitals? He wasn't well with his nerves. I think the photo is c1915-1920 and is the (now) City Hospital,Belfast - family think Daisy Hill. Can anyone help? I think it looks similar to the WW1 Hospital Blues uniform. Incidentally he had lost his son in WW1 in 1918.

Please respect our family wish not to copy this photo without permission :'(

regards

David
