Graveyards and Gravestones / Honor Oak Cemetery London area
« on: Wednesday 20 July 11 06:09 BST (UK)  »
I have posted on here about Grove Park Cemetery and would also like some information about Honor Oak Cemetery.

Having tried to find out about my husband's family for a few years, I am still no further on than his grandfather.
A relative has given me a few items and amongst them was a funeral card for a Henry Loveridge, this could be my husbands great uncle.
He died 28 January 1948 aged 57 years and was interred at Honor Oak Cemetery, the card doesnt give the grave number of plot.

Does anyone visit this cemetery that could possibly have a look for the grave or has seen the grave?

I would be especially interested to see if there is anyone else in the plot or the inscription on the headstone.

Thank you for reading my post,

I have been researching my husbands family for a few years and still dont have much to go on.
A couple of years ago one of his relatives gave me a black edged card with the details for a funeral, we suspect this may be his great grandfather.
The details are

Thomas Loveridge
Died March 10 1954
Aged 69 years
Interred at Grove Park Cemetery
Grave No. 378 Plot K

If there is anyone that goes to this cemetery I would love to hear from you.  I would especially like to know what the inscription on the headstone is and whether anyone else is in the plot.

Thanks for reading my post and I hope to hear something soon.

Sligo / Margaret Coffee Matthew Hunt
« on: Sunday 21 March 10 11:46 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for the above people and have found a possible marriage for them.

I could only get so far with this search and wondered if anyone has access to look them up for me.

There is a Matthew Hunt and Margaret Coffee who married in church in 1860 in County Sligo.  Has anyone any connection to these people or come across them while researching someone else.

There are also 4 baptisims for a Margaret Coffee DOB 1843 in the counties of Kerry, Tipperary x 2 and Wilklow.

I would really appreciate it if someone could look them up for me.

Thank you in advance

Dublin / Christina/Christiana Brennan/Brannon
« on: Monday 14 September 09 06:54 BST (UK)  »

I am looking for my great grandmother Christina/Christiana Brennan.

Her father was Daniel Brennan/Brannon/Branan of Dublin, DOB 1819.

He left for Liverpool.  At the time I dnt know if he was married.

His daughters Margaret (1854) and Christina/Christiana 1868 were both born in Liverpool.

I have Daniel and Christiana living with Margaret and her new famnily (Moore) on the 1881 census.

Christina (as written on mar cert) married in 1889.

Christina is on the 1891, 1901 and 1911 census with her family.

I am interested in either finding who Daniel married or Christiana/Christina's birth cert.

Thank you

I am interested in finding the marriage certificate for Daniel Brennan/Brannon.

He is listed on the 1881 census in Liverpool, he was born in Dublin 1819.

He had a daughter named Christina/Christiana, she also had a daughter Christina.

Perhaps his wife was a Christiana/Christina

Lancashire / Owen Owens Liverpool
« on: Thursday 23 October 08 20:59 BST (UK)  »
Hello again

I have found one of my great-aunts on the 1901 census as being a boarder at 41 & 43 Shaw Street, Everton.   It is written down as Owen Owens Limited Young Ladies Residence.

She was 24 at the time, a drapers assistant, single.

Can anyone tell me what this place was, i can guess that she may have been working for Owen Owens and they had premises for their workers.

There is a mens residence listed as well.
I would be interested to hear anything about the place.

Flintshire / Richards/Hussey
« on: Wednesday 22 October 08 19:38 BST (UK)  »
Hello

I am searching for information on my fathers side of the family - Richards.

I have the marriage certificate for Thomas Richards (my grandfather) he married Catherine Hussey 31.1.1927 at the registry office in the district of St Asoph in the county of Flint and Denbigh.

Thomas Richards was aged 25 and on the cert it gives the address as Russell House, Sussex Street, Rhyl (bit hard to read).    His father name on the cert is John Richards.

Catherine Hussey was aged 26 and was a domestic servant, her address was 5 Denbigh Street, Liverpool.  Her fathers name was William Hussey.

After they were married they moved to Liverpool and went on to have 6 or 7 children.

Has anyone got any information about Thomas Richards or Russell House, Rhyl.

Any information would be very welcome.

Thank you

Travelling People / ALBERT LOVERIDGE 1900-1988 Deptford
« on: Tuesday 21 October 08 19:00 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for my husbands family members.
Albert Loveridge was his grandfather, he was given a date of birth as 1 January 1900 by a court to enable them to establish when he would be due to draw pension, is what we have been told.
He married Ethel Mary Ellingford-Baxter on 25 December 1924,at St Pauls Church Deptford, Albert  marriage cert has his age as 22.  Named on the cert is Alberts father, Thomas Loveridge and Annie Clara Banks is a witness.
The address for both bride and groom are given as Hales Street, Deptford.  Although we do believe that the couple did not live in a house until after their first child was born.
If anyone knows anything about this family i would be very pleased to hear from you, i have spent two years and only got as far as the marriage certificate (which i did in the first two weeks) since then i have come to a complete halt.
Thanks for any help you may give in advance.
