The Common Room / England & Wales National Probate Calendar...
« on: Wednesday 12 January 11 13:40 GMT (UK)  »
Hello everyone

This might be a easy question to answer but I dont know myself, first off can someone tell me the difference between a will and an administraions? Are they the same thing? Because I have found out thanks to the new "Index of wills and administraions 1861-1941" on A******y.com loads of records of my ancestors. What I'd also like to know is if these records mean they left wills how could I obtain a copy of them?

Thanks in advance

This might have been asked before but you know when someone says "oh Im 1/16 Scottish and a 1/5 english..." or something like that exactly how do they work that out? do you stop at your great-grand parents and work down from there or go back futher ??? or only count from your grandparents etc.... where exactly is the stopping point. and if someone knows then could they then tell me what I am if I have two gtx3 grandparents from Ireland.

Kind regards

Carmarthenshire / Missing Morgan Charles
« on: Saturday 21 August 10 16:52 BST (UK)  »
Im trying to find out any information about Morgan Charles, he was born in Llanddeusant, Llandovery his date of birth is kind of sketchy one record says he was born in 1818 and christened in 1823 but in the 1841 census it says he was born about 1826. His parents were Morgan and Hannah Charles and other than the record on familysearch which is where I got his D.O.B and christening from, I cannot find anything else on him. I would love it if someone could help me find out what happened to him....

Kind Regards
Charles

Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Thomas and Joan Morgan Marriage
« on: Saturday 12 June 10 21:20 BST (UK)  »
Hello, Wondering if anyone can help me find any reference of the marriage between Thomas Morgan and Joan surname unknown. I can only find them on the 1871 census they are living in Llangynwyd, Maesteg, Glamorgan. They have three children Mary b:-1854 Thomas b:-1857 and David b:-1860 all in Llangynwyd. Unfortunately this is all I know of them I do not know if they moved or when they died. Any help would be brilliant.

Thanks in advance

For my birthday last year (In May) I was given FTM 2009 and as usual those things come with 6months free trail... I didnt activate the voucher straight away but when I did it said I had until the 26th of November until the voucher runs out. Well its the 12th of December today (which Im sure your aware of  :D) and I can still get access to records, Im not complaining by any means but I was just wondering if anyone else has to this happen to them? and how long do you think I could get before they catch me?

Carmarthenshire Lookup Requests / Two marriages of Morgan Charles
« on: Sunday 29 November 09 10:56 GMT (UK)  »
I just noticed Cas's offer to look up marriage records between 1813 and 1837 although if anyone else can help id really be greatful. The first one Im looking for is the marriage between Morgan Charles born in Llanddeusant, Llandovery 1788 and Hannah Lewis born in 1792 also in Llanddeusant, there first child was born in 1817 so Im assuming that there marriage was around 1815-1816. Hannah died in 1828 and Morgan re-married Anne Bowen born in 1802 there first child was born in 1831 so sometime between 1828 and 1831 would be the date of the second marriage. All this should have happened in the Llanddeusant, Llandovery area. Im not sure if more detail is needed but if there is somthing Im missing just ask.

Thanks in advance
